Holloway is a surname. Notable people with the surname include:
HM Prison Holloway (sometimes known as Holloway Castle) is a closed category prison for adult women and young offenders, located in the Holloway area of the London Borough of Islington, in London, England. The prison is operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service. George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced on 25 November 2015 that HMP Holloway will close due to its age and the fact it is unsuited to the needs of a modern prison.
Holloway was once used to imprison suffragettes, who were British women who demanded equal rights to men. Suffragettes who were imprisoned in Holloway include Constance Markeivicz, Charlotte Despard, Mary Richardson, Dora Montefiore, Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington, and Ethel Smyth.
The prison became infamous in early 2016 after the suspiscious death of inmate Sarah Reed, who happened to have been the victim of police brutality prior to imprisonment. Reed's family claim that the prison has forbid them from examining the body.
Oh, you poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
You let a little bitty man go and tear you all apart
I warned you a thousand times
You wouldn't listen, paid me no mind
You poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
I watched him buy his ticket in Charlotte, North Carolina
I heard him say, "One way, please to Denver"
He's goin' to meet that other girl
Won't do us no good to cry
'Cause she's wearin' his ring on her finger
Oh, you poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
You let a little bitty man go and tear you all apart
I warned you a thousand times
You wouldn't listen, paid me no mind
You poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
I watched him tip the porter
As he stepped aboard that midnight train
Bound to take him far away forever
I watched the tail light fade away
Knowin' he was gone to stay
I just wish this broken heart was with him
Oh, you poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
You let a little bitty man go and tear you all apart
I warned you a thousand times
You wouldn't listen, paid me no mind
You poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
Oh, you poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
You let a little bitty man go and tear you all apart
I warned you a thousand times
You wouldn't listen, paid me no mind
You poor, broke, mixed up mess of a heart
