    On Sun, 9/16, the Leigh Canyon Fire was much less visible. The fire remains at an estimated 3.5 acres in size, showing minimal growth despite being under red flag conditions a 2nd day in a row. Teton Interagency Firefighters are actively monitoring. Info:

    Happy Friday, the entire Moose-Wilson Road is open. Please enjoy the drive and slow down. Wildlife are active throughout the park. Remember to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from bears and wolves, and 25 yards from other wildlife.

    Rangers will monitor the situation & reopen the road when conditions allow. Road grading will take place tonight. The unpaved section of road will close 8PM tonight & will reopen 6AM tomorrow. Visitors caught between closures will be able to exit via the unpaved section. (2/2)

    Due to bear activity, the northern section of the Moose-Wilson Rd, between the Murie Ranch JCT & the Death Canyon JCT, is temporarily closed to all visitors including motorists, cyclists, & hikers. The L.S.R. Preserve & Death Canyon Trailhead can be accessed from the south. (1/2)

    HWY traffic south bound wishing to access Gros Ventre Rd will be encouraged to travel Antelope Flats Rd or travel through the roundabout & detour approx 2 miles further south at the park entrance sign pull-through area to turn around. Info: (4/4)
