A teacher has been charged for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old student at a primary school in Sydney's south-west.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad began investigating in May 2018 after reports a 13-year-old girl had been indecently assaulted a number of times by her teacher in 2017.
On Monday, police arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with two counts of indecent assault of a child under 16.
Police will allege in court the teacher indecently assaulted the girl in a classroom at the south-western Sydney primary school.
The man was granted strict conditional bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday. The 28-year-old is also currently suspended from teaching.
Police inquiries are continuing.
