Sustainable food choices are very important to us here at CERES and they link to all of the food enterprises we operate from what we stock in the Grocery  to what features on the menu at The Merri Table. We take pride in the relationships that we have established with local farmers and trust in their products and processes. Our partnerships with farmers and producers support a localised food system that gives back to those who care for the earth, their produce and animals. All of the meat and dairy products on our menu are organic, free range and cruelty free.

Room hire catering

Are you hiring a room at CERES and also looking for morning tea, lunch and/or afternoon tea options?

With an emphasis on organic, fresh, local and seasonal food The Merri Table Catering is the perfect complement to your CERES experience.

Our menu includes delicious options for vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten free. We are able to ensure fresh, healthy food is available within break times required by your meeting.

The Merri Table team provide catering  Monday to Friday for groups of 15 people or more who hire rooms in the Van Raay Centre. Please see our daytime catering menu for options.

 To make a catering booking

Please email us at merricatering@ceres.org.au (preferred) or phone: 03 9389 0166 (this number is not attended during service times).

We ask that you confirm your order and finalise your payment one week prior to your booking. Any additional food or beverage must be paid for in full on the day of your event or beforehand.

We are currently reviewing the scope of our service and may be able to provide catering on weekends and in venues other than the Van Raay Meeting Rooms by request. 

 If we are unable to assist, such as for short lead bookings, please speak with Venue Hire staff regarding alternative catering arrangements – venuehire@ceres.org.au

Where we are

The Merri Table is the building on your left when you enter CERES through the main gates on the corner of Roberts and Stewart Streets. If you come in another gate, head up the hill.
