Jeff Green

Chief Executive Officer, Founder & Chairman


Jeff Green is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of The Trade Desk, Inc., a technology company that empowers buyers of advertising through data-driven decisioning. Hundreds of billions of impressions are bought on The Trade Desk platform every year by leading agencies and brands.

Following a successful IPO in 2016 (NASDAQ: TTD), the company’s stock rose 231 percent in its first year as a public company. The company employs almost 700 people in over 10 countries around the world. Since 2012, the company has experienced a compound average growth rate (CAGR) of 138 percent.

Green built The Trade Desk as a second-generation demand-side platform, positioning it at the center of digital advertising’s trading future by offering efficient, transparent technology. Among the first programmatic ad partners of Facebook’s ad exchange, Apple, Spotify, Comcast, and CBS, The Trade Desk has been recognized by Business Insider, Crain’s, Deloitte, Forbes, Fortune, Glassdoor and others as both fast-growing and one of the best places to work. In 2015, Forbes named The Trade Desk one of the top 10 ‘America’s Most Promising Companies.’

The American Marketing Association named Green one of the ‘4 under 40’ emerging marketing leaders and California State University Channel Islands recognized him as 2017 Technology Leader of the Year. Green and co-founder Dave Pickles were also named 2017 Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young.

A recognized digital marketing and advertising expert, Green regularly appears in national media, including Bloomberg TV, Business Insider, CNBC, Fox Business, NPR and The Wall Street Journal, among others. In 2017, Green appeared on 60 Minutes to share data with consumers about how to avoid fake news.

Prior to The Trade Desk, Green founded AdECN, which he built in 2004 as the world’s first online advertising exchange. As COO, he led all strategy, product, and business development. AdECN was acquired by Microsoft in 2007 and Green spent two years at Microsoft Online Services Division overseeing all reseller and channel partner business, including ad monetization for Facebook, MSNBC, MSN, Fox Sports, and others.

Green has also played a leadership role in the digital advertising industry, serving on the Networks and Exchanges Quality Assurance Guidelines Committee for the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB), leading working groups that established rules and best practices for acquiring inventory, and setting data transaction standards.

Green has served on the boards of several advertising and technology companies in the U.S. and Europe and served as an advisor to multiple companies including AppNexus, a technology platform based in New York City.

Green and The Trade Desk have done work for hundreds of non-profits, including Water.org, The Charity Defense Council, Thorn, and Not Impossible. For two years Green served as Chairman of the Board for a non-profit school he started in Southern California.

Green resides in Ventura County, California.

Dave Pickles

Chief Technology Officer & Founder


As Chief Technology Officer, Dave Pickles oversees all engineering, product innovation and data science at The Trade Desk, a technology company that empowers advertising buyers through data-driven, real-time decision-making. The Trade Desk’s robust technology offers marketers unparalleled audience scale and reach to connect with their consumers, evaluating nearly 9 million ad impressions and quadrillions of permutations across the internet every single second. Hundreds of billions of ads are bought on The Trade Desk platform every year by leading agencies and brands around the world.

Pioneers of real-time bidding technology, Dave and Jeff Green founded The Trade Desk in 2009. Following a successful IPO in 2016 (NASDAQ: TTD), the company’s stock rose 231 percent in its first year as a public company. The Trade Desk employs over 800 people in 12 countries across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific and has been recognized by Business Insider, Crain’s, Deloitte, Forbes, Fortune, Glassdoor and others as a fast-growth company that is consistently named a best place to work. Dave has spent his entire career building real-time internet delivery systems. In 2007, Dave joined AdECN, the ad exchange acquired by Microsoft. Dave’s team built the complete federated exchange in less than seven months, enabling real-time bidding and performance testing of 30B daily impressions. The architecture Dave crafted remains effectively unchanged today.

Prior to AdECN, Dave was a senior engineer at internet telephony startup, CallWave, Inc., where he was involved in building all back-end components of the system, including client session management services, telephone call handling services, customer registration services, B2B integrations with all major telephone carriers, and complex database systems, such as a custom billing and CRM system.

Dave received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He lives in Ventura County, California with his wife and children.

Brian Stempeck

Chief Client Officer


As Chief Client Officer for The Trade Desk, Stempeck oversees the company’s relationships with agencies, advertisers and strategic partners. Stempeck specializes in educating marketers about the evolving world of digital advertising, and helping them develop online marketing strategies for clients.Recently, Stempeck led The Trade Desk's Connected TV (CTV) initiatives. As TV viewership rapidly moves to over-the-top (OTT) devices, Stempeck has advanced The Trade Desk’s product efforts with TV networks and advertisers. From Q4 2016 to Q4 2017, CTV spend on The Trade Desk platform increased 535 percent.

A recognized digital marketing and advertising expert, Stempeck is regularly featured in media, including Adweek, Ad Age, Broadcasting & Cable and TechCrunch, and speaks at leading industry events such as Advertising Week, dmexco and Programmatic I/O, among others. Stempeck has also been named one of Adweek’s Young Influentials, recognized as one of the publication’s “10 Rising Tech Stars.”

Stempeck serves on the Board of Directors for the Ad Council and is an Advisory Board Member for Advertiser Perceptions.

Stempeck has spent the majority of his career in online media. He started his career as a political journalist with E&E; Publishing on Capitol Hill, and launched E&E;’s online video division in 2006 before receiving an MBA degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Stempeck also worked for Unilever in brand management on the Dove brand, and at Bain & Company, the strategy consulting firm. At Bain & Co., he advised Fortune 500 clients in the retail and pharmaceutical sectors on their digital marketing strategies, and also worked for Bain’s private equity practice.

Stempeck lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Rob Perdue

Chief Operating Officer


Rob Perdue is the Chief Operating Officer of The Trade Desk, where he scales out the business operations of the company, overseeing business opportunities nationwide and globally.

Perdue was previously EyeWonder’s Chief Operating Officer, managing all sales, business operations and the company’s expansion efforts worldwide. He focused on driving and increasing operational capabilities across all functional departments to meet the company's strategic business objectives. Prior to EyeWonder, Perdue specialized in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and online strategy for The Jordan, Edmiston Group (JEGI), an investment bank serving the online media and technology industry, where he executed transactions in the online media sector. While at JEGI, he developed wide-ranging experience in online media, advising ad serving companies, targeting platforms, ad networks, search and lead generation platforms and workflow automation software companies. Prior to JEGI, Perdue worked for more than 12 years in progressive leadership and management roles at Time Warner and Ernst & Young, LLP, where his clients included The Carlyle Group, Blackboard, RipTech (Symantec), Marketswitch (Experian) and Lockheed Martin.

Paul Ross

Chief Financial Officer


In his role at The Trade Desk, Paul Ross leads the finance and accounting functions from the company's headquarters in Ventura, California. Ross has worked in accounting and finance for more than eighteen years, earning his CPA license while at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP in the 1990s. He previously helmed financial operations at Camarillo-based ABB Product Group Solar, then known as PowerOne.

Ross holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and earned his MBA at the University of Southern California.

Vivian Yang

Chief Legal Officer


Vivian Yang brings to her role more than 20 years of legal experience in media and technology. Prior to joining The Trade Desk, Ms. Yang served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of RealD, a leading global licensor of 3D and other visual technologies that was listed on the NYSE until being taken private this year. Before RealD, Ms. Yang was SVP & General Counsel for CityGrid Media, a digital advertising network owned by IAC. She has also held the positions of SVP, Business Affairs, Finance and Administration at Time Warner’s Global Media Group, VP & General Counsel at eCompanies Wireless and Senior Counsel at Sony Pictures. Ms. Yang started her legal career at Latham & Watkins after receiving her JD from Georgetown University. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Yang was a CPA with KPMG.

Susan Vobejda

Chief Marketing Officer


As CMO of The Trade Desk, Susan oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing, including branding, product marketing, creative design, digital media, content development and PR. She brings a steady track record of strategic marketing leadership and a strong passion for building brands across media, technology and consumer sectors to continually further The Trade Desk’s significant growth in the U.S. and around the world.

Recently named one of Forbes Most Influential CMO’s in the World (June 2018), Susan is a recognized expert at the forefront of digital marketing’s transformation. Susan is regularly featured in media, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Reuters, and Adweek, among others.

Before joining The Trade Desk, Susan served as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of global fashion brand Tory Burch, where she led a customer-centric, omnichannel, and global digital transformation of all brand communications.

Prior to Tory Burch, Susan was the founding executive and GM of Bloomberg’s Media Distribution division, which she built into a highly profitable global content business. In addition, Susan has held marketing leadership roles at Bloomberg.com, Yahoo!, Gap Inc., and Walmart.com.

Committed to mentoring the next generation of business leaders, Susan is a W.O.M.E.N. in America mentor, a member of the Women’s Forum of New York, and presenter at Deloitte’s Next Generation CMO Academy. Susan received a B.A. in economics from Carleton College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Susan serves on the CMO Advisory Board for Ridge Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, and also serves on the Board of the non-profit Lulu and Leo Fund. In her spare time, Susan enjoys travel and all sports but especially golf.

Sacha Berlik

Managing Director of Europe


Sacha Berlik is Managing Director at The Trade Desk. In his role, he oversees development and retention of the company’s clientele for its service territories in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Most recently, Berlik was the General Manager of DataXu’s European operations. Prior, he founded mexad, which grew to six offices across the globe before being acquired by DataXu in 2011. Before mexad, Berlik co-founded the Western-European Operations of Oridian (now Lycos), and ActiveAgent (now goldbachmedia), one of the first pan-European ad networks. He also built the online presence for one of Germany’s largest private televisions stations, SAT1.

Berlik holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the Free University of Berlin where he published his thesis, "TV and Internet - Will the Complement be a Competitor?” He is based in Cologne, Germany.

Mike Blacker

VP of Strategic Business Development


Mike Blacker is the VP of Strategic Business Development at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side-platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In his role, Mike prospects for new strategic clients across various industries and works extensively with existing clients to further embed The Trade Desk platform into their business.

Mike is an adtech veteran with a string of start-up including Infoseek, CBS SportsLine, Epylon/Accenture, ExpertCity/Citrix, AudienceScience, Feeva, Quova and Neustar. Mike was one of the first to sell online ads back in 1996 and has spent his entire career working in various roles around digital advertising, adtech and ad platforms.

Mike graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and lives with his family in Ojai, CA.

Yann Blat

GM of France and Belgium


As General Manager for France and Belgium at The Trade Desk, Yann Blat oversees a portfolio of agencies, media teams and aggregators at the cutting edge of digital advertising.

Yann is a veteran of the online advertising industry. He has always been part of technology companies at the service of advertisers, agencies and publishers.

He has built his experience through DoubleClick, Google, Mediamind/Sizmek, Facebook/Atlas.

At The Trade Desk, Yann works with demand-side players to power the most granular audience-based buying platform in the industry.

Stacy Bohrer

RVP of Business Development


Stacy Bohrer is Regional Vice President of Business Development for The Trade Desk, an omnichannel platform in the $20B programmatic industry. In her role as BD lead of The Trade Desk’s Midwestern region, Stacy works with her team to build client relationships with agencies across the market.

Stacy is passionate about partnering with agencies to navigate programmatic and evolve their business models. She established The Trade Desk’s business development function out of Chicago in 2013, quickly building the company’s portfolio and establishing The Trade Desk as the platform of choice among programmatic buyers in the region.

Stacy has worked across all facets of advertising in her career, including roles in display, ad serving, social, and radio. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.

Cort Carlson

VP Corporate Controller


Cort Carlson is the Vice President Corporate Controller for The Trade Desk. In his role, Cort is a key member of the Finance Leadership team and is responsible for the US and corporate accounting functions.

Cort brings with him over 20 years of accounting and finance experience in the technology and entertainment industries.Previously, Cort served as the SVP, Principal Accounting Officer at Connexity, a technology data-driven marketing solutions company.Prior to Connexity, Cort was the VP, Corporate Controller at United Online, an Internet and e-commerce company.Before joining United Online Cort held various senior positions at THQ, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software.

Cort started his career at Grant Thornton LLP where he earned his CPA license after receiving his B.S in Accounting from California State University, Northridge.

TJ Ceballos

GM of Enterprise Business Development


TJ Ceballos is the GM of Enterprise Business Development for The Trade Desk. In his role, he is responsible for establishing partnerships with new strategic enterprise clients across various industries. This involves consulting with partners to fully utilize The Trade Desk platform and enterprise portfolio to drive growth in their business.

TJ has spent his career architecting and supporting advertising and publishing technologies that drive efficiencies. Prior to joining The Trade Desk, TJ served as the Vice President of Professional Services at Operative where he ran both the Support and Consulting Services organization. He also built the AESB, a global cloud based workflow management platform, during his tenure as Vice President of Solutions for Affinity Express.

TJ has also held technology leadership positions at The New York Daily News, ADP, Cunningham Graphics, and OneVision Inc.

He resides in Fair Haven, NJ with his wife and three children.

Ed Chater

General Manager of Cross-Device Operations


Ed Chater leads cross-device and other identity initiatives at The Trade Desk. He is responsible for ensuring the continued growth and adoption of cross-device technology across the platform. This includes helping to educate the market on the benefits of cross-device technology as well as working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver against the product roadmap.

Prior to The Trade Desk Ed was COO at Adbrain which The Trade Desk acquired in October 2017. Ed has over 15 years of digital experience having helped pioneer best practice and build multi-national businesses across search, affiliate, mobile and marketing analytics. Notable achievements include developing one of the worlds first mobile ad tracking platforms at Somo and being selected as one of Media Week's 30 under 30 in 2013.

Kathleen Comer

VP of Client Services


Kathleen Comer is VP of Client Services at The Trade Desk, an omnichannel demand-side platform. Kathleen leads the company’s East Coast and Central account management teams from the company’s New York City office.

As an early employee of The Trade Desk, Kathleen has overseen the growth of the account team. She currently leads key client relationships and is passionate about helping clients understand and best leverage TTD’s technology.

Kathleen began her career in media at The Martin Agency and in account management at JWT New York.

She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in English Literature.

David Danziger

VP of Enterprise Partnerships


David Danziger is the Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In his role at The Trade Desk, David leads the company's strategic partnerships for data, targeting, and measurement. His emphasis is creating relationships that increase effectiveness of The Trade Desk clients’ media buys through improved front-end targeting or back-end analytics.

David is an adtech and data industry veteran having previously served as senior director of data solutions at Merkle and director of data products at Acxiom.

David is a graduate of The University of Michigan and The University of Texas.

Mike Davis

VP of Innovation


As VP of Innovation, Mike Davis is in charge of designing The Trade Desk's technology leadership in the programmatic space. He is a veteran of the software industry with 15 years of experience designing and developing software systems. Mike has founded two other startups and worked for both small development shops and industry titans. His career started as an architect and senior developer at Sun Microsystems in the Connected Network Systems division and was also an architect in the Sun Java Center consulting practice. Davis came to The Trade Desk after founding his most recent start-up, Centripetal Software, a comprehensive backup solution, transfer software, and database for SAAS business users.

Before Centripetal, he was a senior technical program manager at Microsoft where he worked on .Net languages and compilers, enterprise modeling tools, and an online advertising exchange. Davis spent his last year with Microsoft working on the AdECN team, leading the technical integration efforts with demand side platforms and well as internal Microsoft ad serving and network infrastructure.

Tahnil Davis

SVP of Finance


In her role as senior vice president at The Trade Desk, Tahnil oversees various areas of finance from the company’s headquarters in Ventura, California. Tahnil has more than 18 years of experience, having begun her career in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen. She has subsequently taken on various accounting and finance roles in the technology industry.

Tahnil holds an undergraduate degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Jed Dederick

VP of Business Development


Jed Dederick is Vice President of Business Development for The Trade Desk, where he spearheads sales efforts in the Eastern US. As a leader on the global sales team, Jed manages and grows client relationships with some of the most sophisticated buyers in advertising.

Jed is an online advertising veteran, having previously served in digital sales and client services roles at WebMD and The Wall Street Journal.

Jed is a graduate of Connecticut College and lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Brooks Dobbs

GM of Data Privacy


Brooks Dobbs is the GM of Data Privacy at The Trade Desk where he supports The Trade Desk’s ongoing efforts to be the industry leader in privacy and data protection.

Brooks has worked in digital advertising since its start in the mid-90s and worked in data privacy since the late 90s. Brooks has extensive experience with self-regulatory and standards organizations, serving as the first chairman of the industry’s leading self-regulatory body, the Network Advertising Initiative, as well as work with the World Wide Web Consortium’s standards for DNT and P3P. Brooks was previously been the CPO of Young & Rubicam Group and Phorm.

Brooks is a graduate of Lafayette College and lives in Alpharetta, GA.

Lukas Fassbender

General Manager of Germany


Lukas Fassbender is Director of Business Development for the DACH Region at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In his role at The Trade Desk, Lukas helps the company expand its successful global strategy and vision to bring cutting-edge technology to the European market.

Lukas oversees The Trade Desk's rapidly growing Hamburg office to serve clients across central and southern Europe and help agencies to grow their business with the right programmatic strategy and toolset. Lukas has been working in Adtech over the past six years, having previously served as Ad Operations Lead for Eyewonder and Mediamind, as well as Agency Sales Manager for DG.

Lukas is a graduate from the International University of Applied Sciences, Bonn/ Germany.

Anna Forbes

General Manager of United Kingdom


As UK General Manager at The Trade Desk, Anna Forbes oversees all UK activity, growing the company’s portfolio of partnerships and ensuring that the platform continues to provide advertisers with the most cutting-edge technology to manage their campaigns.

Anna brings a wealth of experience with her to the role, having spent the last 15 years leading sales teams at innovative advertising technology companies. Before joining The Trade Desk, Anna held the role of UK Managing Director at mobile advertising analytics company Marchex, where she grew the footprint across EMEA in Sales, Marketing and Client Engagement. Prior to this, Anna served as the EMEA Sales Director at AppNexus, and as COO at Brainient (now Teads Studio).

Anna is a regular speaker at industry events with the IAB and the Digital Advertising Women’s Network. Anna has a BSc (Hons) in International Management from University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology.

Ashutosh Gangwar

GM of Data Partnerships


Ashutosh Gangwar leads new data partnerships team at The Trade Desk and is responsible for forging relationships globally with the data providers. His focus is on building partnerships that maximize value for the clients and long term competiveness of the platform.

Before coming to The Trade Desk, Ashutosh was VP of Business Development at Nielsen where he headed the partnership team for the Marketing Effectiveness practice. Ashutosh brings 15 years of experience in digital media and advertising. This includes global brands such as AOL, CBS, and Nielsen.

Ashutosh received his Aerospace Engineering degree from IIT Bombay and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Business.

Nate Gawel

GM of Data Partnerships


Nate Gawel, GM of Data Partnerships for The Trade Desk, oversees partnership development among industry-leading DMPs such as Salesforce, Oracle, and Nielsen, as well as for a number of our verification and measurement partners including Moat, IAS, and DoubleVerify. Through these strategic partnerships, Nate brings a number of market audience creation and identity resolution solutions to the table.

Prior to joining our team, Nate spent over 13 years as an ad-tech and data strategist for various Fortune 100 brands. After working for a short time as a trader and buyer for digital advertising platforms, Nate quickly moved into management roles due to his passion and expertise for performance marketing in the digital advertising space.

Within this same time, Nate spent 6 years at Centro, where he built a team of 60+ buyers across his paid search, paid social, and paid programmatic platforms, while honing in on operations, performance, and mentoring. This experience, in combination with his consulting expertise, make Nate a strong fit to lead The Trade desk’s relationships with our data partners.

Meredith Hall

GM of Learning & Development


Meredith Hall is GM of Learning & Development at The Trade Desk, an omnichannel demand-side platform. In her role, Meredith leads curriculum development and adoption of The Trade Desk's global Trading Academy, a proprietary offering designed to produce the most skilled and knowledge media buyers in the advertising Industry.

Meredith started her career in digital advertising in 2007 at IPG’s Initiative, then moved on to sales and business development at PK4 Media, Eyeblaster/MediaMind (now Sizmek), and most recently as a Sales Director for The Trade Desk.

Meredith graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and lives with her husband in Venice Beach, Calif.

Matt Harty

SVP of Asia Pacific


Matt Harty represents The Trade Desk as senior vice president of Asia Pacific. Harty has worked in online advertising in Asia since 1997, co-founding the first pan-Asian Ad Network, SpaceAsia Media, which was sold to CMGi in 2000.

Matt then co-founded Activ8, a Yield Management company (precursor to SSPs) as a JV with OutBlaze, handling global media sales for 400 websites including Mail.com and HelloKitty.

His next position was managing News Corp's .FOX Networks for APAC and MENA. From FOX, Matt moved to Omnicom's Accuen as the GM of the first APAC regional ATD. Before joining The Trade Desk, he ran the Audience Solutions business for Experian Asia.

Harty is based in Singapore.

Alan Hiscocks

GM of Global Real Estate & Facilities


Alan Hiscocks, General Manager of Global Real Estate and Facilities at The Trade Desk, develops and executes real estate strategies that support the growth of the business, while ensuring day-to-day efficiencies through the teams that manage our various offices.

Alan maintains a strong focus on protecting The Trade Desk's brand and culture through bringing a holistic approach to the employee experience as the company continues to grow rapidly.

In direct alignment with the C-Suite, Alan builds and manages teams that support the company's vision and meet business objectives, and brings more than 20 years of experience with companies like Procore Technologies, TrueCar and Conversant to the table.

Amber Joi Seipel

GM of Business Development


Amber Joi Seipel is GM of Business Development at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side-platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In her role, Amber leads one of the company’s major global holding company partnerships.

Amber is a digital advertising veteran, having started her career on the agency side at Avenue A | Razorfish (now Razorfish.Sapient) and Digitas Health (now Publicis Health Media) before transitioning to an agency sales role at WebMD.

Amber holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from Drexel University and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Yannick Kennel

General Manager of Data Partnerships, APAC


Yannick Kennel leads the APAC data partnership team at the Trade Desk and is responsible for driving the growth of data usage in Asia Pacific with a focus in establishing strategic alliances with data providers throughout Asia.

Prior to the Trade Desk, Yannick has served in a variety of management and business development capacities in the Asia Pacific region from start-up to multinational IT companies and has extensive experience in data and location based services.

Yannick has a BA degree from ENSADE business school in Paris.

Julie Kleeman

VP and Assistant General Counsel


Julie Kleeman is Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at The Trade Desk. As a generalist, Julie is responsible for advising the company on a variety of legal issues including sales, inventory, and data negotiations, global expansion issues, marketing deals, and human resources matters. She joined The Trade Desk most recently from Undertone, a digital advertising company, where she served as Senior Counsel and was heavily involved in its sale to Perion Network Ltd.

Lorenzo Moreno

GM of Business Development - Southwest Region


Lorenzo Moreno is the GM of Business Development for the Southwest Region, overseeing the development and management of The Trade Desk’s business initiatives and sales efforts for the Los Angeles and Southwest region.

Lorenzo has worked in nearly all aspects of digital media from the sales side, with experience at ad network Tremor Video, video publisher Veoh.com, and Ad Verification company DoubleVerify, where Lorenzo was one of the first employees spearheading early adoption of verification technology in the industry, across three major agency holding companies. Prior to entering into digital media, Lorenzo held sales leadership positions at financial publisher Tradingmarkets.com, where he managed a sales group of 10 direct reports and spearheaded all sales efforts for the site.

Lorenzo is a graduate of Harvard University and is happy to be living in sunny Los Angeles, California.

Ben Mottau

GM of Trading


Ben Mottau is GM of Trading at The Trade Desk. Ben is responsible for scaling the company’s and its partners trading capabilities across the Western US, Southeast Asia and Australia. Ben works closely with skilled clients across the region to forge best practices in programmatic advertising.

As the first business hire at The Trade Desk, Ben helped develop the company’s platform as its Director of Operations. Before that, Ben led DSP integrations and business development at AdECN, one of the world’s first digital advertising exchanges.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University and lives with his wife in San Francisco.

Megan Opp is vice president of Global People Operations for The Trade Desk. She is focused on global employee programs that enable our talent to develop and achieve their professional and personal goals.

Megan has over 20 years of experience within the technology, renewable energy, real estate and investment management industries. Her past positions have included senior leadership roles where she created worldwide programs for compensation, talent acquisition, learning & development, and employee performance and recognition. Most recently she was Chief People Officer for ReachLocal.

Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Syracuse University, New York.

Natalia Papiol

General Manager of Spain


Natalia Papiol is General Manager fort The Trade Desk in Spain, where she oversees client development and retention within the market.

She brings over 15 years of digital marketing experience to the role; before joining The Trade Desk, Natalia was Head of Digital at Mediacom.

Prior to that, she was responsible for developing Xaxis (part of GroupM) in Spain, where she executed the launch of the business and managed the team responsible for service delivery. Natalia has also held a range of digital positions at local and international networks and publishers, including Hi-media, Antevenio, and Santander Bank Group.

Natalia has a BA in Business Administration and a master's in Sales and Marketing.

From these various experiences she has gained excellent adaptation and communication skills, along with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to a fast-changing environment.

Natalia is passionate with brand strategy and always looks for disruptive ways of engaging audiences across all screens.

Natalia is based in Madrid, Spain.

Hyunjin Park

General Manager of Korea


Hyunjin Park is The Trade Desk's General Manager of Korea. In her role at The Trade Desk, Hyunjin manages Korean business operations and strategy, including working with leading agencies and developing local inventory and data partners.

Hyunjin is a DSP pioneer in the Korean market, bringing years of experience in marketing, business consulting, new global business launch, cofounding startups, and advertising technology, including programmatic, social media analytics, and more.

Before joining The Trade Desk, Hyunjin worked for Cheil Worldwide as senior manager in the DSP business division. Hyunjin holds a Master's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and earned her MBA at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

As VP of Global Operations for The Trade Desk, James Patterson manages strategy and execution for key global operational initiatives and ensures alignment with the company’s business goals.

Prior to this global role, James was GM of the UK, significantly growing The Trade Desk’s footprint in that dynamic market by overseeing a portfolio of agencies, media teams, and aggregators at the cutting edge of digital advertising. James brings more than 12 years of digital experience to his current role – both in the advertising technology space and on the agency side, having previously led teams at Kenshoo, Havas, and Mediacom.

At The Trade Desk, James collaborates with leaders across the company and in the industry to drive growth and deepen partnerships around the world.

Gruia Pitigoi-Aron

GM of Product


Gruia Pitigoi-Aron is the General Manager of Product for The Trade Desk. In his role, Gruia oversees teams that are responsible for all product management, user experience, and enterprise solutions at TTD. Closely working with all internal Trade Desk business teams, engineering, clients, and partners is a common theme as they aim to ship the right product at the right time with global impact and scale.

Prior to joining the Trade Desk, Gruia spent 10 years at Microsoft as a Product Manager in various capacities, while working on Outlook.com/Hotmail, Windows Live Agents, and BizTalk Server. The general focus was always on core parts of the systems, with the largest amount of time spent scaling and managing Hotmail’s ever increasing storage infrastructure.

Gruia received his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California: Los Angeles, and his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science for the University of California: Berkeley. He is based in the Trade Desk’s offices in San Jose, CA.

Jaclyn Ranere

VP of Global Brand Marketing


As Vice President, Global Brand Marketing at The Trade Desk, Jaclyn drives brand awareness and demand generation through integrated marketing campaigns, communications, events, and partnerships.

Prior to The Trade Desk, Jaclyn served as SVP of Global Marketing and Communications at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., a century-old provider of post-production and distribution services for film, TV, and commercials. She was also at the forefront of the digital evolution of the music industry during her tenure as VP of Marketing at The Orchard. While there, The Orchard became the largest supplier of digital music in the world.

After graduating from Boston University’s Film & Television program, Jaclyn launched Moonshoot Productions, a company focused on creating and using video to drive digital marketing campaigns.

Akhil Savani

GM of Inventory Partnerships


Akhil Savani is General Manager of Inventory Partnerships at The Trade Desk. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing The Trade Desk’s global partnerships with supply side platforms.

Akhil brings fifteen years of experience in digital media. Prior to joining The Trade Desk, Akhil worked in business development and corporate development roles at NBC Universal, DivX, Redbox and Technicolor.

Akhil holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He lives with his family in Los Angeles.

Alex Schneider joined The Trade Desk as a member of the founding team in 2010 and now co-leads the company's client services with a focus on the West Coast.

In his role Alex owns key client relationships and is passionate about educating clients on our technology and the ever changing ad-tech ecosystem.

Before The Trade Desk, Alex founded the Ventura Ventures Technology Center, a business incubator for high-tech start-ups. Alex is a graduate of Syracuse University and lives and works in Los Angeles and Ventura, CA.

Laura Schenkein is the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for The Trade Desk. In her role, Laura oversees teams responsible for Corporate Development, FP&A;, and Sales Operations. These teams partner with the executive team, global leaders, and external constituents to drive decision support, execute strategic analyses, and structure financial transactions.

Prior to joining The Trade Desk, Laura worked in investment banking for Barclays Capital in New York, in advisory roles for various high growth technology companies, and in management consulting for The Corporate Executive Board in London and Washington DC.

Laura earned her MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University. Laura is based in The Trade Desk’s offices in New York City.

Tetsuya Shintani

Commercial Director and Country Manager of Japan


Tetsuya Shintani is the Commercial Director and Country Manager of Japan at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In his role at The Trade Desk, Tetsuya has led the company’s entrance into the Japanese market, including working with leading agencies and the top six global trading desks in the region.

Tetsuya is one of the adtech veterans of Japan, and brings years of experience in marketing, business development, and advertising technology, including programmatic, search engine marketing, and more.

Before joining The Trade Desk, Tetsuya worked for Dentsu as senior manager in the digital business division.

Jason Shue is vice president of Trading of The Trade Desk, Inc., a demand-side platform that powers the desks of the world’s most advanced buyers in online advertising. As an original member of the team, Shue has played an integral role in designing and building the company’s technology offering.

In his current role, Jason leads the global trading team, which is responsible for acting in consultation with clients to maximize trading performance and media buying best practices globally. Prior to joining The Trade Desk, Shue was Director of Advertising Performance & Operations, for AdECN, the world’s first online advertising exchange acquired by Microsoft in 2007.

Shue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from California Lutheran University.

Rossi Simeonova is GM of Trading of The Trade Desk, Inc., a demand-side platform that powers the desks of the world’s most advanced buyers in online advertising.As a part of the first 15 members of the team, Simeonova has played an integral role in designing and building the company’s client facing UI, transparent reporting, and client education.

In her current role, Rossi leads the North Asia trading team, which is responsible for acting in consultation with clients to maximize trading performance and media buying best practices. Prior to joining the team in Hong Kong, Simeonova helped developed the Trade Desk offices across California and Mid-West USA.

Simeonova holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

Tim Sims is the Senior Vice President of Inventory Partnerships at The Trade Desk, a global demand-side platform in the $5B real-time bidding industry. In his role at The Trade Desk, Tim leads the company's strategy and vision to create cutting-edge supply-side collaborations.

Tim also oversees The Trade Desk's industry-shaping publisher management platform, where advertisers can transact with publishers to buy premium inventory through programmatic channels.

Tim is an adtech veteran, having previously served as director of business development at OpenX, and director of media at Spot Runner.

Tim is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and lives and works in New York City.

Zak Stengel

SVP of Engineering


As Senior Vice President of Engineering, Zak Stengel leads The Trade Desk's global development team in building the industry's most expressive and highly scaled demand-side platform (DSP) for digital advertising.

Zak brings with him a long history of leadership in adtech. Before joining The Trade Desk, he led the development team for the Microsoft Advertising Exchange (formerly AdECN) and the Delivery Engine team at Microsoft Contextual Advertising, where he helped pioneer real-time bidding (RTB) technology and scale Bing advertising demand into web and mobile display.

Zak received his Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

DK Tan

General Manager of Trading, SEA


DK Tan is GM of Trading, SEA at The Trade Desk. He joined as the second employee in Singapore, and helped to establish a strong business and build trading excellence. In his current role, DK leads the SEA trading team to improve campaign performance, develop best practices and educate clients on how to leverage the most powerful and sophisticated platform.

DK has been involved in online marketing since 2009. He served as Regional Director of APAC in Brandscreen, the first DSP in the region back in 2011 that he joined as a second employee and helped to launch in Singapore and China, and quickly scaling the business. Prior to this, he was the Head of Engineering in Kimberly Clark.

DK holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sydney and lives in Singapore.

Chris Toth

VP of Investor Relations


Chris currently serves as Vice President, Investor Relations.

Chris brings leadership depth in a wide array of financial management functions, including investor relations, financial planning & analysis, M&A;, business valuation, and corporate development. Prior to The Trade Desk, Chris was head of investor relations at Newport Corporation before its acquisition by MKS Instruments. Previously, Chris was in the finance department at International Rectifier where headed investor relations and held concurrent roles in finance and corporate development prior to its acquisition by Infineon Technologies.

An avid backcountry hiker, Chris also serves as a Director for Push It Inc., a start-up SaaS company, and a Director for a non-profit Australian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is facilitating a tourism project for the East New Britain Province in Papua New Guinea by creating a partnership between federal and local government groups to build a self-sustaining and eco-friendly adventure tourism industry.

Chris holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of California at Irvine and resides in Southern California with his wife and two children.

David Wainberg

Chief Privacy Counsel


As Chief Privacy Counsel for The Trade Desk, David leads the company’s compliance and strategic response to privacy issues around the globe.

David has extensive experience counseling technology products on consumer privacy and data protection, with a focus on sound risk management and Privacy by Design principles. Before The Trade Desk, David worked at Apple where he counseled software products such as Music, Apple Pay, and Siri, on privacy. Before that he served as the Head of Privacy at AppNexus. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Network Advertising Initiative, and has been a regular speaker at industry events.

David has a JD from the University of Maine School of Law, and a BS from the University of Maine.

Mitch Waters

GM of Australia and New Zealand


Mitch Waters is General Manager for The Trade Desk in Australia and New Zealand. In his role, Mitch oversees business operations, people management, and strategy for the region.

Mitch is an Australian digital media leader with extensive experience in managing advertising technology companies. Prior to joining The Trade Desk, Mitch led AOL International in Australia, where he launched the group’s platforms on the local market. He also held senior sales roles within various digital divisions of News Corp in Australia.

In addition to his role at The Trade Desk, Mitch sits on a number of high-profile industry councils, including the IAB Australia Video Council and IAB Australia Executive Technology Council. He also volunteers his time to mentor the next generation of media executives.

Mitch graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor degree in Commerce and Economics.

Drew West

General Manager of Global Services


Drew West is the General Manager of Global Services, overseeing Global Support, Business Intelligence, and Data Capture for The Trade Desk.

Since joining The Trade Desk in 2014, Drew has built The Trade Desk’s Global Support and Business Intelligence delivery capability to include follow-the-sun coverage from offices in New York, London, Sydney and our headquarters in Ventura, California. Most recently, Drew has taken on The Trade Desk's Data Capture team to expand The Trade Desk’s capabilities in providing quality, actionable data that enhances the success of our clients.

Drew lives in Ojai, California and is an avid supporter of community service initiatives related to education, shelter and housing, food and nutrition, and at-risk senior and child assistance programs.

Kate Falberg

Board Member and Investor


Kate Falberg currently serves as a Board Member for multiple companies in the life sciences and technology industries and an investor.

Kate joined the board of The Trade Desk in August 2016 and currently also serves as a Director for publicly traded biotechnology companies BioMarin Pharmaceutical,  Medivation, Aimmune Therapeutics and aTyr Pharma. She previously served on the boards of Halozyme Therapeutics, Ariosa Diagnostics, QLT, VISX, Fresh Del Monte and Human Genome Sciences and ESS Technology. 

Earlier in her career, Kate held several CFO and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development roles in the technology and biotechnology industries including for Applied Magnetics Corporation, Amgen and, most recently, Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Kate was an early investor in AdECN and served as CFO when the company was sold to Microsoft. Kate holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from UCLA, is a CPA (inactive) and a UCLA Certified Director.

Thomas Falk

CEO, eValue Group


Thomas Falk is a serial entrepreneur, investor and CEO of the eValue Group, consisting of the publicly traded eValue Europe AG, the media investment bank Digital Capital Advisors and the US-based investment fund Revel Partners.

Falk is responsible for the strategic direction of the whole group and international investment strategy. The investments cover the complete digital value chain from online video and mobile advertising to rich media, adserving, targeting performance marketing and technological service companies.

Focusing on the digital media industry, the eValue group not only provides investments, but also unique value adding services, which encompass technology development, legal consulting, controlling, HR services as well as marketing and PR.

The technology providers Falk Tech and Adternity develop individual software solutions for the investments. The portfolio companies include Click District, Digital Response, VoodooVideo, StrikeAd, Own3d as well as smartclip. The latter was initiated by Falk and subsequently built into the European leader for online video.

In addition, Falk was significantly involved in growth and exit of the companies EyeWonder and United Mail Solutions. He was involved with the companies since their foundation and internationalization until the successful exit.

Previously, Falk was as President EMEA at Doublecklick acting on the highest international management level, after selling his company Falk eSolutions to the latter. He left this position when Doubleclick was acquired by Google.

Eric Paley

Eric Paley is a co-founder and Partner at Founder Collective, a seed stage venture capital fund started by a team of entrepreneurs that launched companies and led them through successful exits. These founders are focused on helping the next generation of great entrepreneurs build important and lasting companies. Eric led Founder Collective's investments into numerous companies including Uber, Cruise, Makerbot, HotelTonight, Kuvee, Bookbub, Contently, The Trade Desk and Integral Ad Science. Eric has served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Harvard Business School and is a frequent contributor to Techcrunch.

Previously, Eric was the CEO and a co-founder of Brontes Technologies, a 3D imaging mass customization company, which was acquired in 2006 by 3M.

Eric was also the CEO and co-founder of Abstract Edge, a web application development and marketing company in New York.

Eric graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College and as a Baker Scholar from the Harvard Business School.

Gokul Rajaram

Caviar Lead, Square


Gokul Rajaram currently leads Caviar, Square's food ordering service, and serves on Square’s executive team. Prior to Square, he served as Product Director of Ads at Facebook, where he helped Facebook transition its advertising business to become mobile-first. Earlier in his career, Rajaram served as a Product Management Director for Google AdSense, where he helped launch the product and grow it into a substantial portion of Google’s business. Rajaram holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he was awarded the President of India's Gold Medal for being class valedictorian. He also holds an M.B.A. from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

David Wells

CFO, Netflix


David Wells has served as Netflix's Chief Financial Officer since 2010. His responsibilities include a number of operating duties such as customer service, real estate, and employee technology. Mr. Wells has been at Netflix since March 2004, serving in a variety of planning and analysis roles, including most recently as the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Prior to joining Netflix, Mr. Wells served in progressive roles at Deloitte Consulting from August 1998 to March 2004 and in the non-profit world before getting his MBA.

Mr. Wells joined the Board of The Trade Desk in January 2016.

Mr. Wells holds an MBA and M.P.P. from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
