WordPress people call me Jtrip (thanks Matt & Jen), but everyone else calls me John.

On the web, I’m a 10-year veteran WordPress core contributor. I’ve worked at some companies you’ve probably heard of, and others you probably haven’t. I’ve had a great run so far, and it’s all because of WordPress.

I have code running on WordPress.org, in Jetpack, on WordPress.com VIP, and millions of other sites all over the web.

I help lead BuddyPressbbPress, and I’ve authored (and contributed to) a few other GPL licensed WordPress plugins. Cumulatively, they’ve been downloaded over 50 million times and code I’ve written is installed (and running pretty smoothly) on over 100 million websites worldwide.

Since April of 2017, I’m an elected trustee for the village of East Troy, WI, and the chairman for our Airport Advisory board.

In short, I started contributing to open-source software in 1999 and everything’s been pretty great ever since.

Let’s be friends. ❤️
