Sharb Farjami assumed the leadership of Storyful in August 2017. Storyful is a global leader in social insights, news and video content for media partners, agencies, and brands. Storyful journalists and technologists discover and verify compelling online content, and help businesses create and scale video advertising and manage reputational risk.
Mr. Farjami previously served as Director of Content Commercialisation at Foxtel in Sydney, Australia, where he led the strategic development of Foxtel’s addressable and advanced advertising revenues and ensured alignment with Foxtel’s media investments. He also was the commercial lead for Foxtel content sales and established strategic connections with the TV advertising community across the US, UK, and Canada.
Before joining Foxtel, Mr. Farjami was Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Sales at News Corp Australia, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership of the Network Sales team.
Mr. Farjami previously was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Mindshare, a WPP media agency and digital leader in the Australian market. He also worked for Viacom, Ignite Media Brands and MTV Networks ANZ and Europe.
Ebonie Newman is the Chief Revenue Officer for Storyful. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Sales at Storyful for the Asia Pacific region. She led the company’s commercial growth in the region through expanding Storyful’s work with publishers and developing its strategy for helping brands and agencies connect with their audiences through social video. Ebonie worked closely with News Corp’s commercial teams and News DNA to drive innovative social video opportunities.
Ebonie is a skilled media professional with a decade’s worth of experience within News Corp businesses. She has a proven track record in digital, spanning branded and native content, display, and rich media and performance media. Prior to Storyful, Ebonie was a Group Sales Director within the National Sales Team at News Corp. She led the team servicing key accounts and agency groups such as Toyota, Telstra, OMD, and Mindshare. She mentored emerging sales professionals while in this role and assisted them in growing News Corp’s sales strategy as well.
Ebonie was awarded the B&T 30 Under 30 Award in the media category in 2012. She holds a BA in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Wollongong.
@ebonienewmanLisa McDonald is Global Chief Creative Officer for Storyful, responsible for the development and execution of creative and risk and reputation solutions for Storyful clients. Lisa manages a global team of creatives and strategists, helping organizations protect and enhance their reputation and their shareholder value in the fast-paced and ever-changing social and digital ecosystem. Previously, Lisa was the Creative Director of notorious PSG, one of Ireland’s leading creative brands communications agencies and a Board Director of parent company PSG Communications, now Teneo PSG. Prior to that Lisa was a Director at Slattery Communications.
Tony Byrne is Storyful’s Chief Technology Officer. He joined the company in 2012 as Lead Developer. He’s an evangelist for agile development and he introduced the Storyful team to Scrum. Tony previously led development at Insure.ie and was Head of Application Development at Directski.com.
@tonyjbyrneÉamonn Kennedy is Storyful’s Chief Product Officer. Before joining in 2014, he was Head of Technology for Viddyad, who that year was awarded many industry innovation awards, including the Web Summit Spark of Genius. Previously, he worked with Microsoft and has acted as founder and product lead for a number of web-based startups. Éamonn holds an M.Sc in Computer Science from Trinity College.
@eamonnkennedyEmmet is Director of Legal Affairs. He is also Head of Compliance. Emmet joined Storyful from Paddy Power in 2015, where he had been Head of Legal for paddypower.com. Prior to that, Emmet worked in the Technology department of Arthur Cox, the leading Irish law firm.
@emmet_o_gradyMartina Moran is the Chief Financial Office of Storyful. She joined Storyful in June 2017 and has over 14 years of finance and accounting experience. Previously, she was a consultant and the General Accounting Manager at SAGE Publications, Inc. Prior to SAGE, Martina was an Internal Auditor at WPP Group, where she worked on account transactions and suggested improvements to finance processes with her team. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from NUI, Galway and is a qualified Chartered Accountant having trained with Grant Thornton Dublin.
