A surname or family name is a name added to a given name. In many cases, a surname is a family name and many dictionaries define "surname" as a synonym of "family name". In the western hemisphere, it is commonly synonymous with last name because it is usually placed at the end of a person's given name.
In most Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries, two or more last names (or surnames) may be used. In China, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Madagascar, Taiwan, Vietnam, and parts of India, the family name is placed before a person's given name.
The style of having both a family name (surname) and a given name (forename) is far from universal. In many countries, it is common for ordinary people to have only one name or mononym.
The concept of a "surname" is a relatively recent historical development, evolving from a medieval naming practice called a "byname". Based on an individual's occupation or area of residence, a byname would be used in situations where more than one person had the same name.
Damme (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdɑmə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders, six kilometres northeast of Brugge (Bruges). The municipality comprises the city of Damme proper and the villages of Hoeke, Lapscheure, Moerkerke, Oostkerke, Sijsele, Vivenkapelle, and Sint-Rita. On 1 January 2006, the municipality had a population of 10,899. The total area is 89.52 km², giving a population density of 122 inhabitants per km².
In the 13th century, Damme was the port for Bruges, to which it was linked by the river Reie. The river has now been canalised into the long, straight, treelined and picturesque Damse Vaart, which continues across the Dutch border to Sluis. The line of the town's star-shaped fortifications can still be traced by lines of tall poplar trees and in places by a moat. It was the site of the Battle of Damme, fought on 30 and 31 May 1213.
Well-known Damme inhabitants include Jacob van Maerlant, a medieval poet and the town clerk of Damme until his death in around 1300, and Karel Verleye, co-founder of the Bruges College of Europe, who died in Damme in 2002.
Jean-Claude Camille François Van Varenberg (born 18 October 1960), professionally known as Jean-Claude Van Damme and abbreviated as JCVD, is a Belgian actor, martial artist, screenwriter, film producer, and director best known for his martial arts action films. The most successful of these films include Bloodsport (1988), Kickboxer (1989), Lionheart (1990), Double Impact (1991), Universal Soldier (1992), Hard Target (1993), Street Fighter (1994), Timecop (1994), Sudden Death (1995), JCVD (2008) and The Expendables 2 (2012).
Van Damme was born Jean-Claude Camille François Van Varenberg, on 18 October 1960, in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Brussels, Belgium, the son of Eliana and Eugène Van Varenberg, who was an accountant.
He began martial arts at the age of ten, enrolled by his father in a Shotokan karate school. His styles consist of Shotokan Karate and Kickboxing. He eventually earned his black belt in karate at 18. He started lifting weights to improve his physique, which eventually led to a Mr. Belgium bodybuilding title. At the age of 16, he took up ballet, which he studied for five years. According to Van Damme, ballet "is an art, but it's also one of the most difficult sports. If you can survive a ballet workout, you can survive a workout in any other sport." Later he took up both Taekwondo and Muay Thai.
No Surrender may refer to:
No Retreat, No Surrender is a 1986 American martial arts film directed by Corey Yuen in his American directorial debut, and starring Kurt McKinney and Jean-Claude Van Damme. The film was released in the United States on May 2, 1986. The film is about the American teenager named Jason Stillwell (McKinney) who learns martial arts from the spirit of Bruce Lee. Stillwell uses these lessons to defend his martial arts dojo against the Russian martial artist Ivan Kraschinsky (Van Damme).
The film was written by Keith W. Strandberg after being contacted by Ng See-yuen, the owner of Seasonal Film Corporation, to write a script for them, despite having never written a script beforehand. Van Damme was cast in the film and caused problems on the set for continually physically contacting other actors and stuntmen during the fight scenes even after director Yuen told him not to. On its release, the film received negative reviews focusing on the story that two reviewers found was too similar to the 1984 film The Karate Kid.

amigos...una mas de van damme que yo creia que no estaba buena...pero estaba equivocado...saludos y que la disfruten.
I sat outside your house today
Just thinkin' you'll never learn
It's like the time I packed your things
And dropped 'em off where you were
I know you love to wash your car
So I left it in the lake
They say the strongest part of love is called hate
(Do you feel like I should)
Sit around with your touch
And your smell on my couch
And your hair in my brush
I loved you too much
(Do you think that I should)
Move along, change my phone
Get it on, I'll be gone
Treat him wrong 'til the day
That someone loves me the same way
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
I knew I heard it in your voice
Something was wrong with our date
I feel I didn't have the choice
My heart was not in the way
Found out that I'm up in the cut
Some chick was wearing my face
You're lucky I'm in a good mood
Or she'll lay
Do you know how it feels
Sittin' 'round, smellin' sheets
Feelin' down, watchin' Heat
But my friends where you been
I'm with her again
Do you think that it's cool
To rock the fool in my house
I put you out, you come back in
We fight again, nobody wins
And baby, you should know that this is it
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
Oh oh oh oh
Hey, ooh, yeah
Ooh ooh, ooh ooh
Sometimes you can't let go
Even when your heart says so
I have to let you see
Your love will never be
?? with me you see
Can't let you, just don't need
I tried to love you still
I now know how it feels
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
How am I supposed to feel?
(It says go, go, go)
I know you're no good for me)
(Go go, go go)
I must cite these lonely nights
(Beggin' you to do me right)
This time I just don't know
Heart says stay, mind says go
How am I supposed to feel?
What exactly should I do?
I know you're no good for me
Yet and still I'm lovin' you
I'm must cite these lonely nights
Beggin' you to do me right
This time I just don't know
