The War Resisters League affirms that all war is a crime against humanity.  We are determined not to support any kind of war, international or civil, and to strive nonviolently for the removal of all causes of war, including racism, sexism and all forms of exploitation.

95 Years of Resistance: WRL's 95th Anniversary

This October, War Resisters League is turning 95! From our humble beginnings at Jesse Wallace Hughan's dinner table in 1923, WRL has evolved from the first secular organization of pacifists believing "wars will cease when men refuse to fight" to the WRL we know today - an organization that embraces a radical mission to actively oppose all forms of war and the institutions, systems, and cultures that uphold militarism.

WRL Endorses Call for Mass Protest Against Trump's Military Parade!

Yesterday in Central New York, the Trump administration officially signed a $716 billion dollar "defense" bill that includes $21 billion for nuclear weapons programs, funding for a border wall, and setting the infrastructure for the U.S. military's newest addition: "Space Force." To celebrate, the administration's planned a military parade for this November, showing off the U.S. military for all it's worth: billions and billions of our wasted resources.

The New Antimilitarism: Our AMC Reportback

It's been a few weeks since you helped us get folks out to Detroit for the Allied Media Conference to attend our workshop Liberate the Skies: The New Antimilitarism - thanks for helping us get folks there! The first of its kind at the AMC, the workshop was an intentional space for us to speak candidly with one another across movements, reviewing examples of disapora and homeland-led antiwar organizing, and illuminating the ways militarism shows up in all of our struggles.
