    In my opinion, by claiming that the Pak jets attempted to target Indian military installations, the Indian Govt has no choice but to treat said action as an act of war -- it leaves itself no choice but to respond. The captive IAF pilot complicates but doesn't rule out escalation.

    Confirmed. Very sad. This crash was a Mi-17 V5 helicopter. There was likely a technical malfunction (expect Pak to claim they shot it down, but very unlikely). Four killed in this accident, reports .

    So you’ve shifted from ‘manufactured’ to ‘role played’? Cool.

    If all of them are collectively wrong then it’s a matter of great concern. Don’t see any reason for Indian media to glorify HAL at a time when Ambanis want the Rafale deal. Would be better if you share your source which tells HAL had no role to play in the Mirage 2000’s used.

    Well, you should track our feed if you think the Indian media is the last word on fighter aircraft 😄

    Hadn’t thought comprehension would be such a big issue for you . The sentence I quoted says ‘the 12 aircrafts used’ & not the ‘12 aircrafts manufactured’ . And I have no special sources. This info is in public domain, repeatedly quoted by all major Indian news websites.

    Multiple claims from verified handles that the Mirage 2000s are HAL-built and therefore an endorsement of HAL. Silly & ill-informed. HAL has done many good things & is a very competent company — it just so happens that it has never built Mirage 2000s. Plainly factually wrong!
