According to automation policies (https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/twitter-automation) and the thread I have found (Automatic "liking" is not allowed. But what is?), automatic likes are forbidden:
Automated likes: You may not like Tweets in an automated manner.
Does this mean that any likes automation is forbidden? I assume that if I write my own script to use only with my own account it is still forbidden?
I know that there are at least to 3rd-party applications which does this (https://www.tweetfavy.com and https://tweetpup.com). Does using such applications may result in your account banned? I’m wondering if it is against the policy, how such application still works (hard to detect maybe)? May it change with the latest changes in Twitter for developers in a way that apps will be analysed more thoroughly so any app against the policy will be banned?
