With a 400,000 $ budget, UNDP Sierra Leone launched a skills training on waste recycling for 150 youths (120 women and 30 men) in 8 slum communities around Freetown.
People donated anything they could afford; from offering their time as builders, to donating their goats, chicken, palm oil, yam and rice.

The United Nations Development Programme provided technical support to the setting up and functioning of the Women’s Situation Room in Sierra Leone.

The mobile app was developed by the Sierra Leonean technology company, iDT Labs, and funded by the US Department of State, specifically the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs through the UNDP project, “Promoting Transparency in Sierra Leone’s Judiciary”.
