What is TweetDeck and who are we?
TweetDeck is a flexible web application that allows users to view multiple timelines in one place. It includes a host of features such as managing multiple accounts, columns and enabling our users to search and filter through the noise. It is used primarily by journalists but also by people who want to consume information with real time engagement, by tracking what's happening now.
We have a team of talented individuals from all over world and pride ourselves on the diversity of our team. We work closely together, in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Engineering, Design and Product Management located in our central London office close to Piccadilly Circus.
TweetDeck is a sociable but hard working team, who care about the product and listen to each others views and ideas. You can expect regular team lunches, events and activities to get involved in.
Who are you?
You are someone who can bring fresh ideas from any areas, including data science or UI design. You are passionate, versatile, have an eye for detail, display team qualities and are enthusiastic to tackle new problems on the frontend, backend, or full-stack as we continue to evolve TweetDeck.
You will also have some familiarity and aptitude for learning programming languages.
We will both challenge and support you to do the best work during your time here.
Responsibilities
- This person will be part of a close knit team delivering experiences to TweetDeck’s core users.
- Research, conceive and develop software to extend and improve TweetDeck
- Contribute to a variety of projects and problems
- Collaborate on technical issues
- Collaborate on problems that come your way
Qualifications
- Some experience or familiarity with one or more general purpose programming languages
Engineering Hiring Process
Step 1
Once your application is received, a recruiter will reach out pending your qualifications are a match for the role.
Step 2
If your background is a match, you may have 1-2 technical phone interviews or be given the chance to provide a work sample depending on the role.
Step 3
If the phone interviews go well or your work sample is strong, the final step includes interviews with 5-6 people held onsite in our office.
