Diane Greene

CEO, Google Cloud

After joining Google’s Board in 2012, Diane joined Google full time in December 2015 as CEO of Google Cloud. Prior to Google, Diane co-founded and ran three successful technology companies: VMware, which Diane took public for a $19.1 billion first-day closing valuation; VXtreme, a low bandwidth streaming video company, which was bought by MSFT; and bebop, an enterprise SaaS startup acquired by Google. Prior to VXtreme Diane worked at Sybase, Tandem, and SGI as a software engineer. Before Sybase, Diane worked as a Naval Architect in the shipping and offshore oil industries. She also ran engineering for Windsurfer International. In addition to her role on the board of Alphabet, Diane is a lifetime member of the MIT Corporation and sits on the supervisory board of SAP. Diane served on the board of Intuit from 2006 through 2017.

Diane’s degrees include, an M.S. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.S. in naval architecture from MIT, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Vermont. In 2017 Diane was named to the Bloomberg 50, received the Anita Borg Institute Technical Leadership Award, and a University of Vermont Honorary Doctor of Science. In 2018, she was elected into the membership of the National Academy of Engineering. Diane is married with two children and is a lifelong sailor. She was the 1976 Women’s National Dinghy Champion.

Urs Hölzle

Senior Vice President, Technical Infrastructure

Urs Hölzle oversees the design and operation of the servers, networks, and data centers that power Google’s services, as well as the development of the software infrastructure used by Google’s applications. Lately, he’s spending his time on Google Cloud Platform, making the infrastructure work his team pioneered for Google available to developers around the world. Urs joined Google as its first vice president of engineering after having been an associate professor of computer science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Previously, he contributed to the efficient implementation of virtual machines for programming languages such as Java.

Brian Stevens ×

Brian Stevens

Chief Technical Officer

Brian Stevens is responsible for guiding product strategy for Google Cloud and leading the Office of the CTO, a unit created in 2015 to engage with Google Cloud’s largest customers in their journey to adopt cloud. Brian joined Google from Red Hat in 2014, where he was CTO and EVP of Worldwide Engineering. Brian joined Red Hat in 2001, and led its shift to the enterprise across Linux, virtualization, storage, middleware, and cloud. Brian began his career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was a developer on the first commercial release of the X Windows System.

Prabhakar Raghavan ×

Prabhakar Raghavan

Vice President, Apps

Prabhakar Raghavan is responsible for engineering and products for G Suite, Google’s cloud-based productivity suite. Prior to Google he worked at IBM, was CTO at Verity, and then Head of Yahoo Labs. His research background includes search, machine learning, and algorithms.

He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Tariq Shaukat

President, Global Alliances & Industry Platforms

Tariq Shaukat is responsible for driving step-change growth for Google Cloud through strategic partnerships and customers, industry platforms and solutions, and customer operations, and was previously President, Customers at Google Cloud. Before joining Google, Tariq was the chief commercial officer of Caesars Entertainment, overseeing sales, marketing, information technology, analytics, e-commerce, distribution, and product. Tariq joined Caesars as chief marketing officer in 2012 from McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner working globally with clients in financial services, travel, and media/entertainment. Before joining McKinsey, Tariq held a variety of roles in the technology industry.

Paul-Henri Ferrand

President, Global Customer Operations

Paul-Henri “PH” Ferrand leads go-to-market operations for Google Cloud products, including sales, support, professional services, partnerships, and customer operations. PH joined Google in 2015, first leading the Apps Ad business across the Americas and then performance-based advertising sales and related analytics for Google’s largest customer sector. Prior to Google, PH was the President of Dell North America Commercial. At Dell, he delivered positive growth across the entire portfolio of Dell’s products and services (a $25B business), defining and executing the strategies necessary to achieve Dell’s goals of transforming itself into an end-to-end IT solution provider. Earlier in his career, PH held multiple senior executive roles at Nokia and AT&T;, where he started his career.

Alison Wagonfeld ×

Alison Wagonfeld

Vice President, Marketing

Alison Wagonfeld leads marketing for Google Cloud, covering the Google Cloud Platform, G Suite, Google Maps, and Google for Education businesses. Previously, she was an operating partner at Emergence Capital, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm focused on enterprise cloud companies. Prior to that, Alison was Executive Director of the Harvard Business School California Research Center, where she worked with faculty to build the entrepreneurship curriculum and develop the Harvard Innovation Lab. Before her role at HBS, Alison led marketing and business development at Greenlight, a venture-backed startup. She also worked at Intuit, where she co-founded the Quicken Loans business. Earlier in her career, Alison worked as a product manager at Microsoft and as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley.

The San Francisco Business Journal named Alison one of the “Most Influential Women in the Bay Area.”

Nan Boden

Head of Global Technology Partners

Dr. Nan Boden leads the organization responsible for partnering with companies that build their businesses on Google Cloud Platform, G Suite, Google Maps, and Google for Education products. Nan joined Google in 2013 in the division that designs, develops, and deploys Google’s data centers, where she handled various strategy matters as well as mergers and acquisitions. Nan was formerly CEO of Myricom, a pioneer in high-performance computer networking and a successful Caltech spinoff. Nan started her career as a software engineer and later moved into business roles such as EVP, CFO, member of Myricom’s Board of Directors, and CEO.

Fei-Fei Li

Dr. Fei-Fei Li is the Chief Scientist of Google Cloud, AI/ML. She continues to hold her professorship at Stanford University as an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department. Fei-Fei is the Director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab and the Stanford Vision Lab. Prior to joining Stanford, she was on faculty at Princeton University and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her main research areas are in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and cognitive and computational neuroscience. She has published more than 150 scientific articles in top-tier journals and conferences and her work has been featured in a variety of popular press magazines and news outlets. She joined Stanford in 2009 as an assistant professor, and was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2012.

Injong Rhee ×

Injong Rhee

Entrepreneur In Residence

Injong joined Google in 2018 to lead the company’s IoT efforts. Previously the CTO of Samsung Mobile, Injong is a businessman, engineer, inventor, researcher, and teacher. He was responsible for developing software for Samsung Mobile, including recently launched flagship smartphones such as Galaxy S8 and Note 8, smart watches, and IoT services. During his tenure at Samsung, he led many signature software service businesses including Samsung Knox, Samsung Pay, and Bixby.

Prior to joining Samsung, Injong was a professor of computer science at North Carolina State University for 14 years. He is a celebrated inventor of BIC and CUBIC — default TCP algorithms used in almost all operating systems and is a two-time winner of the IEEE William Bennett Award for his work in computer networks (2013, 2016). He has published over 100 journal and conference papers in the areas of distributed computing, computer networks, and mobile computing.

Chet Kapoor ×

Chet Kapoor

Vice President, Apigee

Chet Kapoor oversees all areas of the Apigee platform. He joined Google in 2016 from Apigee, where he served as CEO. As a proven leader and innovator in the high-tech industry, Chet has contributed the vision and leadership to build Apigee into a leading technology provider for digital business. Chet has spent over 20 years in leadership positions at innovative software and hardware companies, including Vice President of Content Management and Search Products at IBM and Vice President/General Manager for the Integration Group of BEA Systems. Prior to that, he was CEO of Gluecode, an open source application server company that was acquired by IBM. Chet also served as a Vice President at webMethods, and he held various positions at NeXT.
