Article. Raising qualifications of the national experts on WTO as the basis for subsequent effective country’s membership in the organization
UNDP helped to establish a pool of WTO experts with educational and scientific backgrounds to develop a local expertise for Belarus' WTO accession period. The experts gained profound knowledge on the WTO norms and rules, as well as corresponding national mechanisms of state regulation.
What we do
UNDP has been working in Belarus since 1992, most recently under its Country Programme Document (CPD) 2016-2020. The current CPD focuses on three priority areas in line with the national development priorities:
- Stronger systems of inclusive and responsive governance;
- Greener growth incorporating productive capacities that target employment and create livelihoods for vulnerable groups;
- Better access to basic services for vulnerable groups.
