Terror announce new album, release single

Terror have announced their seventh full length. It's called Total Retaliation and will be out September 28 via Pure Noise Records. The album was produced by Will Putney and runs about 30 minutes. In a release, vocalist Scott Vogel said, "I'm happy that after 16 years, we still have the urgency and aggression , and our youthful spirit is still kicking. Everything — from the lyrics to the riffs to the overall energy — on this album feels right. People that have heard the record keep telling me it's the terror record they have been wanting for, and it's our best in a while, so I'm super exited for this thing to come out in late September and we have a great team releasing this." Hear the lead single, "Mental Demolition," below.

Listen to the new EP by Fucktomb!

Listen to the new EP by Fucktomb!

Today, Punknews is thrilled (and a little scared) to debut the new EP by Fucktomb!

These three fiends play totally blown out, totally gnarly, totally savage hardcore-meets-grindcore. The names of the three members really tell you most of what you need to know: The Creep, Yogg-Kavorkian, and Fucknife.

The band's new ep, Enter the Fucktomb is not only just totally whacked out, but they take a page from the earliest days of Napalm Death and John Zorn and apply the grindcore texture to a freestyle jazz body. The result is something not only mean, but something that's intelligent, too.

We asked the band for a quote about the new EP, but they simply replied with this strange missive, written on actual parchment, sent by personal carrier: "The wastelands of Philadelphia. The tribes are at war. The Cult of the Eagle had pillaged and taken control of the entire city. The last remaining members of the cult of Fucktomb escaped into the sewers beneath the city, exiled. Goddamned to the gallows, these last survivors, decrepit of spirit began committing atrocious science experiments in the labyrinth below the city. Evidence of these experiments has begun to surface. Enter the Fucktomb." Check out the new EP below.

Mean Caesar debut new video "South London Summer"

Mean Caesar debut new video “South London Summer”

Punknews is incredibly excited to premiere the first music from London quintet Mean Caesar in the form a new video, "South London Summer." The track comes off of the band's debut, self-titled EP, which is due out October 5th on Little Rocket Records.

Mean Caesar has been described as a cross between Leatherface and Samiam, and features musicians, both ex- and current, of a bevy of bands across the UK (way too many to go into here). Needless to say, there is a lot of experience under this band's belt, and it shows in their song-writing and composition.

Having had the chance to preview the EP in full, I can only say the description above is spot-on. "South London Summer" is a perfect example of this, with the sound being both chunky and playful at the same time, and a vocal cadence that evokes Jason Beebout on his best day.

Vocalist David Webster has this to say about the song:
