Jimbo's Cancer
The following is my first project in Editing class using footage from interviews of a surfing father and son. We were allowed to edit it in anyway we wanted. I chose to give the boy cancer through the magic of editing.
The kid is a terrible interviewer and I found myself hating him after watching all the footage of him.
Don't worry. Young Jimbo Borland is probably alive and well today, surfing everyday with his dad.
I manipulated the interviews by adding random pictures from the internet, adding text to say what I wanted, and by slicing up the words in the interview to make it sound like he was a sick little boy instead of a great surfer. Oh yeah, and I used really sad music. It makes you want to cry, huh?
