  9. My maiden LS speech was on torture. Govt had told the SC that it wld consider the LawCommission's recommendation to enact a law against torture. Now the Govt informs me that it can't implement this proposal in a time-bound manner, though the recommendation was made 10 months ago!

  12. Speaker abruptly cut short LS discussion, but statement that Modi-XI meeting had no agenda is worrying. Not to have an agenda is the other side’s agenda. Given the problems they are causing us, there are a number of issues our PM should want to raise on our agenda.

  13. I was wrong. & no . Huge mistake. We should play to our strengths, not try to imitate our opponents. We don’t have four world-class pace bowlers available. We do have 3 world-class spinners & should play two of them everywhere. Shouldn’t omit match winners

    Wrong. If you take the word “secular” out of the Constitution, it is still a secular Constitution, with Articles guaranteeing freedom of religion &equality. That was why advocates of Hindu Rashtra like Savarkar, Golwalkar & Upadhyaya rejected it.

    Dear your scheme for "Enhancement of Competitiveness in the India Capital Goods Sector" has approved 8 Centres of Excellence. But 86cr in only 5 states, to undertake R&D, is surely not enough. Can't PSUs pay a certain% of their turnover towards R&D by these Centres?
