We will use all political and legal options for redressal of these glaring excesses. This is an outright rigging and the results based on massive rigging will cause irreparable damage to the country.

ECP should give strict instructions for issuance of the Form 45. It completely failed in its main responsibility of holding a free, fair & transparent elections. A serious blow has been dealt to the democratic process of the country.

We are convening the meeting of the party's Central Executive Committee tomorrow to decide on the next course of action. We will then hold consultations with other political parties to agree on a shared set of actions. This matter cannot be allowed to go unattended.

Someone hinted that the PML-N emerged as the largest parliamentary party in Punjab. I told him it it is not about seats. It is about respect of the people's mandate. It is about our future. It is about our posterity.

Through this election, we wanted Pakistan to enter a new epoch but there is no place in the country where blatant violation of the election laws & humiliation of the public mandate was committed.

I have not seen the kind of malpractices done today after the polling time expired in my whole political career. We heard complaints from the whole country that Form 45 was not being given & the polling agents of the party were driven out.

We thought that the people will be allowed opportunity to express their will freely. Long queues of people could be seen in the morning in this hot, humid weather. We requested the Election Commission of Pakistan to extend the polling time, which it did not accept.

In Lahore alone the results of Pervez Malik, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq & even of my constituency were stopped.

The mandate of the millions of people who came out to vote has been humiliated. Our democratic process has been pushed back by decades. Had the public mandate been delivered in a fair manner, we would have accepted it happily.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) wholly rejects the results of General Elections 2018 due to manifest & massive irregularities. Form 45 was not given to our agents, results were stopped & votes were counted in the absence of our poll agents. This is both unbearable & unacceptable!

Heart broken to learn of martyrdom of innocent people including police officials & injuries sustained by others in a terrorist attack in Quetta at a time when the people are exercising their democratic right of vote. My profound condolences to the bereaved families.
