    Australia's system of indefinite detention is deliberately breaking refugees hearts & minds & crushing their hopes. It has exported cruelty to the world & shown that the policy of racism can divide people and win votes. We have struggled in this system for 5 years now.

  5. Just one small point "The court has found that Hamid's death was perventable. I'm sure that if there were independent investigations into the deaths on Manus and Nauru people would be shocked at how the Australian government has killed these inoccent people.

    Abdi is now resting. Each movement causes tremendous pain as the knee is jostled each time. He has asked that his thanks be extended to everyone who has been concerned for him & helped him to get an XRay after being forced to wait a full week.

    Abdi finally is leaving & on way to the airport. After suffering for 8 days, at last there is hope he will be pain free soon. To the hundreds of good people who tried so hard to help, Abdi says 'Can't thank you enough'.

    With the millions being thrown at and PNG every month, would it be too difficult for them to provide an interpreter for the men when they go to their medical appointments and have to sign consent forms??

    Fighting to get Abdi with his broken knee even basic treatment has left me angry, sick & sad. During those 8 days, Australia fought to stop 2 more critically ill children having urgent treatment & coroner reported on the killing of Hamed Khazaei.
