The Fight is a 1975 non-fiction book by Norman Mailer about the boxing title fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman at Kinshasa in Zaire in 1974, known as the Rumble in the Jungle.
The author is both the narrator and, in an example of illeism, a central figure in the story. To begin with, "Norman" goes to Ali's training camp at Deer Lake, Pennsylvania and observes his preparations. Clearly, Ali is his hero. He meets his entourage, among them Bundini, and the sparring partners such as Larry Holmes, Eddie Jones, and Roy Williams. The next scene is in Kinshasa where President Mobutu of Zaire has underwritten the fight, a showcase of "Black honour", a victory for "Mobutuism". Ali is stationed at Nsele and getting ready. The fight, however, is postponed when Foreman incurs a cut during his training. "Norman" can go back to the United States.
One month later, Mailer is back in Kinshasa, staying at the Inter-Continental hotel where most of George Foreman's people are staying as well, also the promoters, and even some of Ali's retinue. Mailer glows in the admiration of the black Americans: "A man of wisdom" (Ali)," the champ among writers" (Foreman), "a genius" (Don King). He reads "Bantu Philosophy" and learns that "humans (are) forces, not beings".
"The Fight" is the sixth episode of the second season of the television series The Office, and the show's twelfth episode overall. It was written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg and directed by Ken Kwapis. It originally aired on November 1, 2005 on NBC. "The Fight" guest starred Lance Krall, who played the part of Dwight's sensei, Ira.
The series depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. In this episode, Michael Scott (Steve Carell), after being embarrassed by Dwight Schrute's (Rainn Wilson) superior fighting skills, engages in a karate match with Dwight during lunch. Meanwhile, Jim Halpert's (John Krasinski) flirting with Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) goes too far.
"The Fight" was known as "Karate" and "The Dojo" by members of the cast and crew due to many of the scenes featuring the titular fight. Several of the cast members of the show, recurring and starring, had martial arts experience. The episode contained several cultural references, with many referring to popular fighting-related movies and television shows. "The Fight" received largely positive reviews from critics. The episode earned a Nielsen rating of 3.9 in the 18–49 demographic and was viewed by 7.9 million viewers.
"Fight" was the Moldovan entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, performed in English by Natalia Barbu. The song was written by Elena Buga and composed by Alexandru Braşoveanu.
The song is a metal-based number, comparable to Within Temptation or Evanescence in sound. Barbu sings about the need to "fight" in order "to face this cruel world", and sings that this is in fact the only way to get ahead. The melody line is provided by a violin, which Barbu herself plays in the video, as well as playing in the live performances. Barbu laughingly said that even though she couldn't play live at Eurovision (the rules forbid this), the background track violin is played by her and that it was actually a very easy part since she has been playing since she was seven years old.
The video features a number of schoolboys racing each other over what appears to be an unmarked cross-country course. Over the course of the song, all of the boys with one exception fall over, leaving one as the only victor.

Kat is a Polish heavy metal band formed in 1979 in Katowice, Poland. They have been accused, mainly by the Polish media, of promoting Satanism.
In Polish "kat" means executioner. KAT is one of the most important bands in Polish heavy metal overall, and is also mentioned as one of the main precursors of thrash and even black metal genres in this country. KAT's most famous album is Oddech wymarłych światów (The Breath of Extinct Worlds), considered an opus of Polish heavy metal.
The band is best known for tracks "Czas zemsty" (Time of revenge), "Łza dla cieniów minionych" (A tear for the shadows gone), "Wyrocznia" (Oracle) and "Noce Szatana " (The nights of Satan).
KAT was founded in 1979 by guitarist Piotr Luczyk and drummer Ireneusz Loth. Shortly after they were joined by bassist Tomasz Jaguś and another guitarist, Ryszard Pisarski. They played instrumental music influenced by hard rock bands, mainly Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. In 1981, during the first edition of the Silesian Rock festival, the band found a singer, Roman Kostrzewski The line-up was filled out by guitarist Wojciech Mrowiec and in 1984 KAT released the debut single "Noce szatana / Ostatni tabor" (Polish for The Nights of Satan / The Last Train). Robert "Lor" Milewski wrote the lyrics of both songs; since then Kostrzewski became the lyricist, incorporating poetry, Polish folklore, and mysticism. The band also toured with Hanoi Rocks.
Diamonds In The Rough was originally released on CD in 2008 as part of the DVD+CD release “Live in the LBC/Diamonds in the Rough”. It is a compilation of b-sides recorded during the making of the band’s self-titled 2007 debut, rarities, covers and other non-album tracks. The 2020 vinyl and digital release of the album has been remastered and is expanded by 5 tracks, featuring the unreleased track “Set Me Free” (recorded during the “Hail To The King” sessions). It also includes other hard-to-find tracks such as the fan-favorite “St, James”, “4AM” and “Lost It All”. If I could find a place
To leave this world behind.
Somewhere in time and space
Where i could ease my mind.
I'd take you there;
Where we could be alone.
No one can find this place;
The secret will be ours.
With no more pain to face;
We'll live amongst the stars.
In solitude, and we can wonder free.
Alone, at last just you and me.
Our island universe;
A world unto its own.
Forgetting all the worst of times,
They're gone,
You know we are as one
To make a life of peace.
