“Even if some social-media campaigns are hard to substantiate (the campaign to remake “The Last Jedi” claims to have raised tens of millions of dollars in pledges) Robbins doesn’t think should take them lightly.”

I agree it’s historically unprecedented, but isn’t that why and should consider it? What do they have to lose... gaining all of the fans they lost back?

Hence, in moments when the audience should feel the most concern for these heroes, be in anticipation of what happens next, we feel disconnected and almost indifferent. And the movie fails to penetrate into the ethos of human nature (the basis for telling stories).

When you decide to edit out the human element from telling a story, then the story is no longer compelling. This is why The Last Jedi is a bad story. The characters do not have relatability.

The more relatable the hero is to human nature, the more compelling the story because people begin to see themselves in these heroes. This is imperative to storytelling because if you don’t care about the characters then you don’t care to see where the story goes.

A hero is someone we can relate to, someone that faces obstacles and finds ways to either overcome them or cope and deal with them throughout the story.

Why tell stories? We tell stories because they are enjoyable, we can learn lessons, help us grow, show us problems we have to face in life, show us aspects of human nature. Show us how to act or not act in a situation.

One of these things is not like the other. So was it really a good movie or just critics pandering?

You know the movie is bad when it’s own Director is begging for a remake.

The people in power think the fans who disliked TLJ are an irrelevant minority of basement dwellers who are just keyboard cowboys that will never actually effect real change. If you don't want them to win then spread and let your voice be heard!

Iron sharpens iron and the best writing comes from a group of people who have differing opinions but can constructively work together for the best story possible. Not just one writer sitting in a room thinking whatever pops into their head is the best idea ever.

In fact we want the writing team to be a diverse group of people that both loved and hated TLJ, so we will have an inbox for story treatment submissions and actually hire people onto the writing team from what we receive! So this is your chance to write a Star Wars film!

We will be consulting with Star Wars fans directly throughout the writing of the remake of The Last Jedi as the plan is to make a version of TLJ that is as close to universally accepted as possible! (You'll never please everyone, but at least it wouldn't be blasphemy)
