Really disappointed that Etsy have decided to up their seller fees to 5%. This doesn’t help small businesses/ start ups and is what can only be described as greedy

#Etsy increasing fees - might need to find another platform. “Effective July 16, Etsy’s transaction fee will increase from 3.5% to 5% and it will also apply to the cost of shipping.” -
Soooo... Higher fees from
#Etsy - Does anyone have any recommendations for other similar art/small biz/seller platforms? -
Did you know we give 100% of sales to our sellers and do not have a transaction or commission fee?! So why would you give
#Etsy more of your sales when you could be receiving 100% of them with us?! Open your shop today http://nuMONDAY.com/sell pic.twitter.com/bB9Il27AZe -
#etsy the CEO thinks so little of us. Not just taking fees on shipping, but adding in a useless monthly subscription? And then to say flat out that we don't consider our businesses real unless we waste our money with them...wow...just wow... pic.twitter.com/B4LjwV0PuO -
Re: Etsy new pricing increase. Reminds me of when Ebay first started announcing few increases, sounds like the beginning of the end for low end sellers. Wonder how long before you create/ force sellers to an alternative platform ... wasn’t Etsy born out of Ebay refugees?

My
#etsy shop will also be closing due to the new fee hike that will take place soon. I make no profit off of my shipping , if anything I help a little with shipping fees for my customers. -
Upping
#etsy seller fees AND charging them on shipping costs? Cue 'I'm leaving Etsy' posts... pic.twitter.com/38ojiaCxmX -
#Etsy revenues 2017 in excess of $441 million... now increasing fees to sellers - to include shipping costs..... getting too big for their handmade britches ????? -
Adding fees to postage and handling?!?!? I mean that just sucks

Oh nice -
#etsy has decided to increase its transaction fees for sellers to 5% because... why not, right? May need to start shopping around for a new selling platform. -

How is it fair/legal to charge a fee for shipping. We aren't making money off the shipping fees. In fact once you factor in cost of materials, I lose money shipping items. This is going to really add up on International orders!
