Burnt out on @Etsy. They're raising transaction fees from 3.5% to 5% + charging for seller tools when the community is already hurting from years of plummeting sales/traffic. #Etsy's answer = raise rates + BS copy about evolution? We need a new small biz marketplace. :\

Really disappointed that Etsy have decided to up their seller fees to 5%. This doesn’t help small businesses/ start ups and is what can only be described as greedy #etsy

Soooo... Higher fees from #Etsy - Does anyone have any recommendations for other similar art/small biz/seller platforms?

Re: Etsy new pricing increase. Reminds me of when Ebay first started announcing few increases, sounds like the beginning of the end for low end sellers. Wonder how long before you create/ force sellers to an alternative platform ... wasn’t Etsy born out of Ebay refugees? #etsy

My #etsy shop will also be closing due to the new fee hike that will take place soon. I make no profit off of my shipping , if anything I help a little with shipping fees for my customers.

#Etsy revenues 2017 in excess of $441 million... now increasing fees to sellers - to include shipping costs..... getting too big for their handmade britches ?????

Adding fees to postage and handling?!?!? I mean that just sucks #etsy.

@Etsy new fee increases are nothing short of greed. What happened to Etsy being about handmade small businesses? WHO makes a profit on shipping for them to take a cut? How is that legal? It’s time to find a different platform because this is going to tank small businesses. #etsy

Closing my @Etsy stores by the end of the summer. Jacking up selling fees + listing fees are too much. I'm on ebay & mercari & will probably be opening a shopify as well. Ask ur favorite #etsy sellers where else you can buy their products--you're gonna be seeing shops disappear

How is it fair/legal to charge a fee for shipping. We aren't making money off the shipping fees. In fact once you factor in cost of materials, I lose money shipping items. This is going to really add up on International orders! #etsy

@Etsy Such a sad day to read about the fee increases. I think you will loose many sellers before the increase takes effect. So disappointed #etsy

Super disappointed in Etsy's new seller fees...I mean WTF?!? Charging us fees for shipping now?!? Come on #Etsy not all of are us are raking in the $$$ Seems like this change will hurt makers and not help them..
