Burnt out on . They're raising transaction fees from 3.5% to 5% + charging for seller tools when the community is already hurting from years of plummeting sales/traffic. 's answer = raise rates + BS copy about evolution? We need a new small biz marketplace. :\

Really disappointed that Etsy have decided to up their seller fees to 5%. This doesn’t help small businesses/ start ups and is what can only be described as greedy

increasing fees - might need to find another platform. “Effective July 16, Etsy’s transaction fee will increase from 3.5% to 5% and it will also apply to the cost of shipping.”

Did you know we give 100% of sales to our sellers and do not have a transaction or commission fee?! So why would you give more of your sales when you could be receiving 100% of them with us?! Open your shop today 👉

the CEO thinks so little of us. Not just taking fees on shipping, but adding in a useless monthly subscription? And then to say flat out that we don't consider our businesses real unless we waste our money with them...wow...just wow...

Re: Etsy new pricing increase. Reminds me of when Ebay first started announcing few increases, sounds like the beginning of the end for low end sellers. Wonder how long before you create/ force sellers to an alternative platform ... wasn’t Etsy born out of Ebay refugees?

My shop will also be closing due to the new fee hike that will take place soon. I make no profit off of my shipping , if anything I help a little with shipping fees for my customers.

Oh nice - has decided to increase its transaction fees for sellers to 5% because... why not, right? May need to start shopping around for a new selling platform.

new fee increases are nothing short of greed. What happened to Etsy being about handmade small businesses? WHO makes a profit on shipping for them to take a cut? How is that legal? It’s time to find a different platform because this is going to tank small businesses.

Closing my stores by the end of the summer. Jacking up selling fees + listing fees are too much. I'm on ebay & mercari & will probably be opening a shopify as well. Ask ur favorite sellers where else you can buy their products--you're gonna be seeing shops disappear

How is it fair/legal to charge a fee for shipping. We aren't making money off the shipping fees. In fact once you factor in cost of materials, I lose money shipping items. This is going to really add up on International orders!

Such a sad day to read about the fee increases. I think you will loose many sellers before the increase takes effect. So disappointed
