Judgment Day tomorrow on the Rafale. The Supreme Court will pronounce its order on Friday on the Rafale petitions. Many will have sleepless nights tonight. But my assessment is that the SC will let the government off with a mild reproof... citing national security. Let's see...

Happy to see the bhakts — after lying dormant for three days in their rat holes, after their election drubbing — have emerged, squealing in joy at the Rafale reprieve. Glad to have you back, bhaktoos... there was suddenly a disappointing shortage of butts to kick on Twitter!

Respite for the BJP , three days after its election debacle. Today the Supreme Court — in a thoroughly flawed judgment — dismissed petitions seeking a CBI inquiry into the Rafale deal. Instead, three judges with no tech or military knowledge, cleared deal on all counts

Another BJP apologist changing sails to the shifting breeze! Can you tell us when, in the last four-and-a-half years, you criticised the strident language the BJP had injected into national politics, or when you welcomed “Pappu’s” restraint. Rest assured, India will not forget.

If there really was some genuine humility... it would be a first from India’s most prideful, arrogant and hubris-laden prime minister ever.

All these BJP toady journalists will jump ship very quickly! Already, several I can name are suddenly sounding more balanced... The die-hard bhakts’ attitude will change more slowly

Is the Indian Air Force sabotaging the Tejas fighter? It has allowed HAL to select an Israeli radar for the Tejas Mark 1A, even after five letters from MBDA, stating it will not allow the Meteor missile to be integrated with a non-European radar.

Equipping Tejas Mark 1A with Elta’s ELM-2052 radar will ensure it never carries the world-beating Meteor ‘beyond visual range' air-to-air missile informed it would only fit that missile onto a fighter with European airborne radar

Probably the finest line in President George HW Bush's soaring funeral: “He was a man of such great humility. Those who travel the high road of humility in Washington, D.C., are not bothered by heavy traffic.” So said his close friend, former senator Alan Simpson.

Alleged VVIP chopper middleman, Christian Michel, remanded to CBI custody. Let's hope the CBI is more successful at gathering evidence from Michel than they were with Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi and other accused, who they arrested and then had to release.

Almost an hour?? In what journalism has 23 minutes become "almost an hour"? Also, why should Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi not explain himself? Would you prefer that a distinguished fighter pilot be kept muzzled and silenced in the midst of a media trial?

Comment on in Khaleej Times, UAE this morning: “Modi is likely to attend the Ambani-Piramal reception the way that employees show up at the boss’s daughter’s wedding looking garishly downmarket and carrying a gift that will immediately find its way to the trashcan.”
