    We've detained a man under the Mental Health Act after he claimed to have a bomb at Charing Cross station, London. He was searched by specialist officers and no bomb or weapon was found. Thanks for bearing with us while we responded

    A man claiming to have a bomb at station has now been arrested. We are now working to reopen the station as soon as possible would like to thank passengers and rail staff for their patience and understanding during this incident.

    We are currently dealing with an incident at Charing Cross station following reports of a man on the tracks claiming to have a bomb. The station has been evacuated as a precaution and no services are currently stopping at the station. Please check with before you travel

    The incident at Southgate Tube station has now been confirmed as non suspicious. Thanks to , , staff and the emergency services for a swift and professional response. Follow for travel updates this evening as services resume.

    station has been examined by specialist officers. It appears at this stage that the cause of the explosion was a battery short circuit.

    Officers remain at station following a minor explosion earlier this evening. Investigations are ongoing, but the incident is not being treated as suspicious or terror related. Initial enquiries indicate the explosion was caused by a drill battery short circuiting .
