Most of the strongest, most empathetic , understanding, and non judgemental people I’ve ever met, have fought through extreme battles of suicidal thoughts....and THOSE PEOPLE, are the bravest Mother F*%!ers alive. I SEE YOU. I AM YOU.

I just took mine, so casual reminder to take your meds if you're due for a dosage. If not, perhaps go get a drink of water anyway and RT for others.

Some days are harder than others. When I fall, I always get back up. Sometimes literally.

You're talking out your ass if you think mentally or chronically sick people are weak for thinking of suicide. You'll never understand how much energy we spend fighting the urges, just to be just as sick the following day.

If you could describe
#mentalillness to someone who hasn’t experienced it, what would you say?#depression#anxiety#bipolar#BorderlinePersonalityDisorder#Schizophrenia#mentalhealth#sicknotweak#MentalHealthIsHealth -
Thank you
@sethmeyers . I hate hate HATE the fact that a LOT of people who suffer from anxiety, depression, etc have to stay quiet and suffer. Thank you@VanJones68#sicknotweak https://twitter.com/CNN/status/1008129661862375432 …2:10 -
Everyday is a good day to talk about mental health. There are thousands of sweet, sweet people fighting to stay alive and many gone because of an invisible illness. Let’s do the easy part and fight for some awareness for those who struggle.

Things that help my anxiety: -Talking to a friend -Going to the gym/walking the dog -Watching comedy -ART <3 -Something productive like cleaning/tidying/paperwork -Distraction with social media -Trying to find a solution to the issue

Friendly reminder that 1 in 5 Canadians experience a mental health issue. It’s not
#BellLetsTalk today but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it now. Be kind to each other. Check in with the people you love. Help someone else smile today#SickNotWeak -

I may be the only one who feels this way. When I hear people say “Things will get better, I promise” I know they mean well but when I’m depressed I never believe it. My mind won’t go there. Is this normal?

I take this to heart. I believe things will get better. It has to. It must!

Yesterday I posted what not to say to people living with mental illness. It sparked a fantastic conversation and resulted in people having some great things to say! This summarizes a lot of the discussion!

If you struggle with hidden depression and anxiety and are always the one asking if everyone is ok, please dont forget about yourself. These 3 words can save your life I NEED HELP

As a person who has battled depression and anxiety for years now, the most important thing I've learnt is that there will always be people who'll try to take advantage of your illness. But that should never stop you from talking about it.

Can anyone else relate to this work of art?

Depression doesn’t knock at the door and ask if it can “come on in”, it quietly enters through a basement window and sits at your kitchen table waiting for you unexpectedly.

Depression myth- people with depression are always sad. Truth about this myth- some people with depression are sad & some people who are sad suffer with depression but the 2 aren't always linked Lesson: Don't ever assume you know how people with depression feel. Ever
