The crisis in Iraq has been one of the largest and most volatile in the world. More than 10 million people in Iraq have been impacted by the conflict, including 5.8 million civilians forced to flee their homes, 3 million of whom remain displaced today.
In partnership with the General Secretariat of Planning and Development (GSSCPD), UNDP held an Introductory Workshop on Jan 22nd, 2018 at UN house- Mishref in Kuwait with the presence of;
Within the strategic collaboration framework between the Governmet of the State of Kuwait represented by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Planning and Development (GSSCPD) and the United Nations Development
Within the framework of "Achieving Kuwait Vision 2035 for Persons with Disabilities" project in collaboration among UNDP, GSSCPD & PADA, a workshop was held to launch and discuss the final version of “Kuwait Universal Design Code” under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs And the Minister of Economic Affairs, Mrs. Hind Al-Sabeih.

UNDERSTANDING OF VOLUNTEERISM FOR DEVELOPMENT
A successful introductory workshop by UNDP, UNV and Kuwait’s Ministry of State for the Youth.
The UNDP Kuwait, in collaboration with the regional office of UN Volunteerism in Amman, Jordan, held a successful 3-day training in Kuwait during 7-9 May, 2018 on the Contribution of Volunteerism to Development, as part of the capacity building component of the UNDP “Youth Empowerment in Kuwait” project. Participants represented various local government and non-government organizations who have experience in volunteer work inside and outside Kuwait.
