Plastic pollution is everywhere you look and growing far too quickly. The international crisis has most certainly reached Myanmar.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of the Republic of Korea affirmed their mutual interest to strengthen bilateral cooperation and share knowledge and expertise on preventing and eliminating corruption.
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and UNDP, the UN Development Programme, agreed today in Nay Pyi Taw with the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the text for the tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
In the week of 14th May, school evacuation drills were conducted in Labutta Township where more than 200 students, teachers and principals participated in tsunami education activities and assessed the schools’ emergency preparedness. The schools, Basic Education High School 2 and 3 Mile Basic Education High School in Labutta participated in the activities.
Building on the success of two similar events held in 2016 and 2017, this seminar specifically targeted ways of implementing the Hluttaw Strategic Development plans drafted over the past year, focusing on professional development support to members of Parliament and Hluttaw staff, as well as developing parliamentary committees.
Many people may say they understand the concept of gender, but the question is, do they really?
The programme targeted executive and senior government officials, and focused on raising awareness in four key areas.
