People donated anything they could afford; from offering their time as builders, to donating their goats, chicken, palm oil, yam and rice.

Waste Management and Plastic Recycling
Through sustainable waste management strategies, the United Nations Development Programme in Sierra Leone is working hard to reduce risk of flooding in slum communities in Freetown, to remove plastic waste from city drains, and provide skills training on waste management and plastic recycling.
