According to the TERRA-MODIS satellite platform's data as of 31 March 2018, the snow cover area of the river basins in the Amudarya and Syrdarya upstream is significantly less in comparison with the same period of snowy 2017.
This new initiative is aimed at enhancing the capacities of national institutions on human rights to effectively and transparently implement the recommendations of UN Charter-based and Treaty Bodies in accordance with Uzbekistan's international legal obligations in the field of human rights.
The current stage of structural reforms is an enabling moment for the "women in public administration" focus, to become a new factor for Uzbekistan’s economic breakthrough. This stage requires effective social lifts for recruiting women at the mid-level, thereby increasing the proportion of women in executive power from 5.3% to between 16% and 18%. On May 15 2018 a press tour was conducted to the Zangiata Inter-District Civil Court in Tashkent. This event served to present information on new information technologies, and their advantages as introduced into the judicial system. The visit served to emphasize the comprehensive improvements that result from the installation of the E-SUD system in courts, along with the introduction of other improvements such as the introduction of sound and video recording equipment.
On May 10, 2018 a workshop titled ‘Trade Finance as a Key Factor in Trade Promotion’ was held in Tashkent to discuss opportunities for introducing new trade finance instruments in Uzbekistan.
UNDP and the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan hosted a conference to discuss problems impeding foreign investments, introducing modern technologies to the regions of the country and the way of addressing existing bottlenecks.

The publication is prepared within the joint ‘Rule of Law in Uzbekistan’ project of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
