Responsible for overseeing and growing UBM’s business throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Lucy Dimes was appointed CEO of UBM EMEA in October 2017 after serving as the Chief Executive of Fujitsu UK & Ireland driving significant growth and operational excellence making the company a digital leader within its industry. Prior to this, as Chief Operating Officer of Equiniti Group, Lucy led the repositioning of the organisation to a customer-led, digitally disruptive, technology-enabled services company. Graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Business Management, Lucy also holds an MBA from London Business School.
Responsible for financial governance, shaping commercial strategy, delivering acquisitions and creating a balanced portfolio for profitable growth.
Alex originally joined UBM’s M&A team in 2006 where he completed over 100 acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures across the US, Asia, Europe and Latin America. He moved to UBM's EMEA division in 2013 to lead its strategy, business development and corporate finance activities, which included the formation of JVs in Turkey and Russia. Alex became CFO for UBM EMEA at the start of 2016.
Responsible for continued strategic growth and development of UBM EMEA UK
Simon began work at UBM as part of the Blenheim acquisition in 1997 and has over 25 years of exhibition experience. Simon sits on the AEO Executive Council, is a member of the UBM EMEA Board and is responsible for UBM Turkey. He has worked in variety of roles and markets, been responsible for launches and geo-adaptations and is passionate about events.
Responsible for the continued strategic growth and development of UBM's Pharma and Food Ingredients portfolios.
John started at UBM in 2013, and has over 15 years' experience in events and media. John received his MBA in Business Administration, with a specialization in Marketing Management, from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the Community of European Management Schools.
Responsible for event sales performance and revenue maximisation across the EMEA division
Nina has over 19 years’ experience in the UK business to business market. Starting her career in sales, Nina progressed through the ranks of the commercial operation rising to Publishing Director in 2006. Nina has a long track record of establishing and developing new businesses, positioning the publishing business for the digital age, most recently these include launching UK and international events and founding client solutions. She has been at the forefront of UBM's online and hybrid events progression, and in particular on the role of content in the event experience.
Responsible for identifying, acquiring and integrating acquisition for the region
Previously, Sanjeev was Managing Director Market Development for UBM EMEA, with a focus on emerging markets, including our business in Turkey. Prior to that, he was MD for UBM India for four years. Based in Mumbai, during which time he was responsible for a large portfolio of exhibitions, conferences, magazines and websites. Prior to that he led UBM's Interiors and Property publishing portfolios based out of London, during this time he led the team to numerous national awards.
