Origin is a six-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics from November 2001 to March 2002, written by Bill Jemas, Joe Quesada and Paul Jenkins, and illustrated by Andy Kubert (pencils) and Richard Isanove (color).
Origin tells the story of the superhero Wolverine, best known as a member of the X-Men. Since the character first appeared in the early 1970s his history had often been shrouded in mystery, with bits of information revealed piecemeal over time (notably in Weapon X), but this series was the first to reveal Wolverine's early days and his original background. In their introductions, some of those who worked on the series express their reluctance to reveal the actual origins of one of the comic world's most popular and mysterious characters. Even Wolverine himself has few recollections of where he came from and this was an essential part of his appeal.
The series reveals that Wolverine was born James Howlett, the son of rich plantation owners in late 19th Century Canada, and has long suffered from various allergies. He is a sickly child so his loving father, John Howlett, Jr., brings an orphaned girl named Rose up from the town to be his companion. The two children also often play with Dog Logan, son of the Howletts' cruel groundskeeper, Thomas Logan (who looks a lot like the fully-grown Wolverine). Readers are led to believe that Dog was the young Wolverine, but this is later revealed to be not the case. The children's friendship is spoiled by the tension between the boys' fathers centering on James' mother, Elizabeth, who went mad after her first son, John, died under mysterious circumstances years earlier. Rose later stumbles upon Elizabeth changing by accident, and sees that she has three parallel scars along her ribs, hinting that John Howlett III had claws of his own.

The album's tracklist was leaked on April 2, 2015.
The first song the band released on March 26, 2015 was the same-titled song Origin. Another song was released by InVogue Records on YouTube on April 3, 2015. It is called A Cancer Uncontained. The latest single, The Earth Will Turn was released on April 15, 2015 just one week before the album's official release.
On April 18, 2015 the band headed out for a short US run with Silent Planet to promote their new record. The tour ended on May 4, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana after eleven shows.
Origin is the debut album by death metal band Origin. The album has a rawer, more straightforward and more brutal sound than their more technical later albums. This album was the first death metal album released on a label to incorporate the use of gravity blasts although their original drummer George Fluke used the gravity blast on their 1998 EP A Coming into Existence.
You are helpless to me, hunting my prey, smelling my blood
I am hungry you see, nothing to eat, stomach empty
Your poor victim to be, take your clothes off, give yourself up
I am physically stronger than you, what can you do?
You're my prey, my next kill, put you inside of me, time to feed
Hung and bled, stripped and ripped, start to eviscerate
Man of beast, beast of man
Quench me of my hunger, satiate my thirst
One more bite of flesh, just one more drop of blood
You are dead, used up, rot in the ground for me
You are dead, used up, you are dead
Devoured your blood, sipped it real slow, lived all it's pain
Tasted so good, when it ran fresh, straight from the wounds
Pouring out the red, thick, rich and warm, into my mouth
Blood has gone bad, when it runs black, I drink of it's death
Manimal of mankind, ancient lycanthrope
Feeding on the blood of man and his mortal flesh
Territorial beast, born to kill and feed
Awaken from sleep, bring forth your wretched horror
Eyes gaze deep into yours, frozen in fear, shitting your pants
I have instincts to feed, ardors to treat, sweetness to taste
Tongue swells, oozing with spit, gritting my teeth, ready to bite
Earth's blood wolf comes for you, there's nothing you can do
Death's waiting here for you inside my sturdy ribcage
Fangs dig in deep, pierce your flesh, bleeding bestial atrocity
Claws grasp your pain, squeeze your life
Gasping, spitting out a pool of blood
Jaws locked on tight, crushing bone, screaming, animal ferocity
