    Disabled people should be represented in the media. We should be employed for our talent, not just for a PR statement. We should be playing main characters in movies and on TV. I teamed up with to show the world how to do it the right way.

    Disability in the arts is a complex issue. It can’t be solved by tokenism or implementing arbitrary statistics. We need to create a media landscape that includes disability at every level, be it writing, directing or acting. Nothing about us without us.

    Adam Pearson's scene in Under the Skin really stood out to me from all the other scenes in the movie. There was a genuineness to it that would have been lost if they just slapped some prosthetics on a non-disabled actor. Representation matters. And it can make your film better!
