    In the afternoon we learned even more interesting things about the Veritas video: The MPD doesn't know who fucking made it. They accepted evidence without cross-checking ~anything.~ Who delivered the tape, who made it, on what device. Nothing.

    Kalief Browder spent three years in Rikers, where he was tortured in solitary confinement for a crime he didn't commit, all because he couldn't afford bail and refused to plead guilty. He woulda been 25 today, but after his experience on Rikers, he committed suicide.

    After the events in Charlottesville last year, where Nazis marched with torches and attacked those in opposition to them, ending with the murder of Heather Heyer, Facebook still allows white nationalist and separatist content, cuz it's not "white supremacist." 🙄

    In one document we obtained from inside Facebook, in which the company tries to train its moderators on American neo-Nazis, the company says it bans white supremacy, and allows nationalism and separatism. But then says these are not always clear cut

    Kalief Browder would've been 25 today. NYC wrongly arrested him, held him for a ransom his family couldn't afford, & tortured him for yrs in solitary confinement. Before he died, he wrote a heartbreaking research paper on solitary confinement. Read it:
