Attracting over 25,000 customers each year and generating over $7 million in hire fees alone, houseboating is one of the South Australian tourism industry's most significant sectors.

The Houseboat Hirers Association (HHA) is a division of the Boating Industry Association (BIA) and represents over 60 Members and in excess of 90 houseboats on the River Murray from Murray Bridge to Mildura.
