The gallery and museum are within walking distance of St Ives town centre and Porthmeor beach.

BY TRAIN

A frequent rail service operates between London Paddington and St Ives via Reading, Exeter, Plymouth, Bodmin, Truro, St Erth and Penzance. A local train service operates from St Erth to St Ives. For train times and booking see:

BY COACH

There are daily National Express coach services from Victoria Coach Station, London. These services travel via Heathrow, Plymouth, Liskeard, St Austell, Truro, Redruth, Camborne, St Ives and Penzance – stopping at most small towns en route.

BY BUS

There are regular local bus services to and from St Ives.

BY CAR

St Ives is a 15–20 minute drive from the A30. On reaching the town, follow the brown signs to Tate St Ives. Please be aware that parking in St Ives is limited.

Shuttle bus service

A shuttle bus service runs throughout the year between the Trenwith Coach and Car Park and the town centre, which is a five minute walk from Tate St Ives. For details call St Ives Tourist Information on +44 (0)1736 796297.

Park and ride service – peak season

A train park and ride service operates from St Erth and Lelant Saltings stations between the end of May and the end of September. Visitors using the service receive £1 off Tate St Ives admission.

Entry to Tate St Ives during our current rehang is £8.25/£6.60 (without donation £7.50/£6.00).

Help Tate by including the voluntary donation to enable Gift Aid

Concessions apply to 60s and over, students over 18, visitors with disabilities, job seekers.

Discounted tickets for pre-paid groups of 10 or more (all groups must be pre-booked).

Free entry for Tate Members, 18s and under.

Facilities at Tate St Ives

Information desk

The Information desk at Tate St Ives is located three metres away from the front entrance. Staff are happy to help with any questions you have about the artworks, building and facilities.

  • There is level access to the Information desk from the entrance
  • Lighting levels are bright
  • Seating is available in the foyer

Toilets

Accessible toilets are located on the third floor at Tate St Ives.

Baby changing facilities

  • The Parent and Baby Room is on the third floor. It can accommodate a pushchair or wheelchair.
  • There are also baby changing facilities in the main toilets.

Lift

The lift at Tate St Ives is suitable for wheelchair users. It gives access to all floors at the gallery.

Cloakroom

There is a free, unmanned cloakroom next to the admissions desk at the entrance to Tate St Ives. Buggies can also be stored here, subject to space availability.

Seating

Stools are available in the galleries. To get a stool, ask a member of staff or at the Information desk.
