Through sustainable waste management strategies, the United Nations Development Programme in Sierra Leone is working hard to reduce risk of flooding in slum communities in Freetown, providing skills training on waste recycling with the aim of empowering women and youth to improve their livelihoods.

Promoting Transparency in Sierra Leone’s Judiciary
This project helps judiciary and justice chain institutions to develop bail and sentencing regulations, to ensure adequate guidance for the Judges, Magistrates and legal practitioners in the dispensation of justice. It also supports the introduction of electronic criminal case management in Sierra Leone, enabling the judiciary to track court cases.
