The Pyle Spots Watch is a nice looking watch full of features. While it can be difficult to see and has so many options that it can be difficult to navigate. Attached to your wrist the Pyle Sports watch works well, but when attached to your pack it is especially useful.
Notes-
- Lightweight watch - which you would expect from a watch with a rubber band
- Has loads of built in features - compass (which works well), altitude, barometer, temperature, alarms and laps.
- The thermometer works well when you are not wearing it - but the readings are definitely influenced by body temperature
- The watch is water resistant
- There are a couple of negatives - It can be a difficult be a different to see unless you are looking directly at it. Also the watch has so many features that can be a bit difficult to navigate
- Can be set for either imperial or metric units
Final Verdict - The Pyle Sports Watch is a lightweight watch that packed with loads of features. The watch isn't perfect, and can be a confusing to navigate but it is an excellent value for the features. It works well as a watch, but it works even better when attached to a carabiner and clipped to a pack.

Pyle
Coordinates: 51°31′45″N 3°41′43″W / 51.529146°N 3.695252°W / 51.529146; -3.695252
Pyle (Welsh: Y Pîl ) is a village and community in Bridgend county borough, Wales. This large village is served by the A48 road, and lies less than one mile from Junction 37 of the M4 motorway, and is therefore only a half-hour journey from the capital city of Wales, Cardiff; in fact it lies approximately equidistant between the capital (Cardiff) and the second city (Swansea). The nearest town is the seaside resort of Porthcawl. Within the Community, to the northeast of Pyle, is the adjoining settlement of Kenfig Hill.
Early history
An indication of early settlement is the Croes Siencyn Incised Stone, a Scheduled Monument on Marlas Road, (51°31′39″N 3°41′56″W / 51.5275°N 3.6989°W / 51.5275; -3.6989 (Pyle Incised Stone), grid ref: SS822823). This is a weathered stone with an incised cross, dated to 11th or 12th century, moved to its present garden location in 1945 from 'between Kenfig and Pyle'. The early expansion of Pyle was brought about when the ancient borough of Kenfig was abandoned after being buried in the drifting sand dunes of Kenfig Sands. The walls of Pyle St James' parish church are reputed to have been moved stone by stone from the old town, relocated further inland as the sand encroached.

Full Metal Jacket
Full Metal Jacket is a 1987 British-American war film directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick. The screenplay by Kubrick, Michael Herr, and Gustav Hasford was based on Hasford's novel The Short-Timers (1979). The film stars Matthew Modine, Adam Baldwin, Vincent D'Onofrio, R. Lee Ermey, Dorian Harewood, Arliss Howard, Kevyn Major Howard, and Ed O'Ross, and its storyline follows a platoon of U.S. Marines through their training and the experiences of two of the platoon's Marines in the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War. The film's title refers to the full metal jacket bullet used by infantry riflemen. The film was released in the United States on June 26, 1987.
The film received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for Kubrick, Herr, and Hasford. In 2001, the American Film Institute placed Full Metal Jacket at No. 95 in their "AFI's 100 Years...100 Thrills" poll.
Plot
In 1967, during the Vietnam War, a group of new U.S. Marine Corps recruits arrive at Parris Island, South Carolina, for basic training. After having their heads shaved, they meet Senior Drill Instructor Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, who employs excessively forceful methods to turn the recruits into hardened, combat-ready Marines. Among the recruits are privates "Joker", "Cowboy", and the overweight, bumbling Leonard Lawrence, who earns the nickname "Gomer Pyle" after attracting Hartman's wrath.

Gomer Pyle
Gomer Pyle is a television character played by Jim Nabors and introduced in the middle of the third season of The Andy Griffith Show. Pyle, a simpleminded and gentle auto mechanic, became a character when actor Howard McNear, who portrayed Floyd the Barber, took a respite from the show due to health reasons. Nabors played Pyle for 23 episodes from 1962 to 1964.
After two seasons on The Andy Griffith Show, McNear returned and Griffith proposed a show based on the Gomer Pyle character. In 1964, the character was spun off into Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., which ran until 1969.
Character
Pyle is a good-natured, naïve single man with a high tenor speaking voice from Mayberry, North Carolina. The only apparent employee at Wally's Filling Station, he initially lived there in a back room. Wide-eyed and slack jawed, he usually wore a service station uniform and a baseball cap with an upturned bill; a handkerchief dangled from his back pocket. He initially displayed scant knowledge of automotive mechanics: in "The Great Filling Station Robbery", for example, he thought a carburetor was a hood ornament. In the same episode, he admitted all he knew how to do was fill cars with gas, oil, water and air. However, he learned over time, and in other episodes he was able to diagnose mechanical problems for the average lay person. In his first appearance, in an episode called "The Bank Job," Gomer is shown operating a blow torch to cut through a bank's vault. In another episode, Gomer diagnoses a problem with a car belonging to a visitor from out of town who is delayed due to a mechanical breakdown.

The Pyle Spots Watch is a nice looking watch full of features. While it can be difficult to see and has so many options that it can be difficult to navigate. Attached to your wrist the Pyle Sports watch works well, but when attached to your pack it is especially useful.
Notes-
- Lightweight watch - which you would expect from a watch with a rubber band
- Has loads of built in features - compass (which works well), altitude, barometer, temperature, alarms and laps.
- The thermometer works well when you are not wearing it - but the readings are definitely influenced by body temperature
- The watch is water resistant
- There are a couple of negatives - It can be a difficult be a different to see unless you are looking directly at it. Also the watch has so many features that can be a bit difficult to navigate
- Can be set for either imperial or metric units
Final Verdict - The Pyle Sports Watch is a lightweight watch that packed with loads of features. The watch isn't perfect, and can be a confusing to navigate but it is an excellent value for the features. It works well as a watch, but it works even better when attached to a carabiner and clipped to a pack.
