UNDP through a project funded by the Royal Danish Embassy is supporting the Government of Indonesia in strengthening the rule of law and restorative justice throughout the country.
In December 2017, UNDP convened a discussion with seven cities from across Indonesia to discuss UNDP Indonesia’s Sustainable Urban Development Strategy to better assess their needs and priorities and initiate discussions around UNDP’s potential role.
UNDP together with the DJEBTKE, ESDM and Provincial Government of Jambi with the support from BAZNAS and Bank Jambi, inaugurate a ground breaking to start the construction of Micro Hydro Power Plant to provide electricity for a total of 803 households from four villages in Jambi province.
The Government of Indonesia issued in February the world’s first sovereign green sukuk (Islamic bond). Today’s event, co-hosted by Ministry of Finance and UNDP, signals the start of work to implement the green sukuk initiative.
