Wildflower charity golf classic
The annual Dr. Ralph Wilson Jr. Wildflower Charity Classic, which benefits Ralph Wilson Youth Club, will be held Monday, April 23, at Wildflower Country Club.
Registration, lunch and putting green opens at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will take place at 1 p.m. An awards program and dinner will follow.
Cost is $220 per person and it includes two beverage tickets, tournament gifts and prizes and entry to the lunch and awards dinner. Spouses may attend the dinner event for an extra $20.

Police golf tournament
The Johnson Brothers Ford fifth-annual Police Memorial Golf Tournament, which benefits the Bell County Sheriff’s Department Foundation, will be held Monday, April 16, at Wildflower County Club in Temple.
A lunch event will start at 11 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 1 p.m. A dinner will be held following the tournament.
Cost is $150 per person or $600 per team.

Growing the Game golf tournament
The Temple Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the fifth-annual Growing the Game Golf Tournament, which benefits the Junior Golf Academy, will be held Saturday, April 28, at Sammons Gold Links, 2727 W. Adams Ave. in Temple.
The four-person scramble tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $75 per person and the fee includes cart rental, breakfast and lunch.

Women’s Study Club of Holland
Women’s Study Club of Holland will have its annual chicken spaghetti luncheon and silent auction from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the Kuhlmann Civic Center in Holland.
Plates will cost $10 and proceeds will benefit Holland High School scholarships, the B.J. Hill Library and other community projects. Take-out orders may be placed by calling 254-203-2585 or 512-657-8772. Limited delivery will be available in the Holland and Salado areas.

Helping Hands Ministry
Helping Hands Ministry of Belton will hold its inaugural Trivia Night fundraiser 6 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the First Baptist Church, 8015 W Adams Ave. in Temple.
Teams will attempt to answer the most trivia questions over several rounds and multiple topics.
Prizes will be awarded for the winning team and for the best decorated table. The event also will include dinner and door prizes.
All proceeds will benefit the Helping Hands Ministry.
Belton Project Celebration run
Belton Project Celebration will hold a Donut 5K Fun Run Saturday at Chisholm Trail Park, 3115 Dunns Canyon in Belton.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run begins at 8:30 a.m.
Participants may park at the BHS Tiger Stadium overflow lot between BHS9 and Sparta Elementary. Registration will be held in the lot by the Athletic Complex.
For every donut that runners eat (up to five) while running, one minute will be deducted from the final time. Top runners (one each for male and female) will receive one dozen donuts.

Belton Youth Softball Association will hold a “Family Fun Day” fundraiser 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the Chisholm Trail Softball Complex, 3115 Dunns Canyon in Belton.

Autism awareness
Omkara Mahaganapathy Devasthanam, the Hindu temple of Central Texas located at 4309 Midway Drive in Temple, will hold an autism awareness event to raise funds for Sandbox ABA 3-6 p.m. Saturday, April 21. The St. Monica Ladies Society from St. Monica Catholic Church in Cameron will hold a festival fundraiser 11 a.m. Sunday, April 15, at Simon-George Hall located at 401 S. Karnes Ave. in Cameron.

A memorial fundraiser in honor of Cody Cornell and Robert Pellerin that benefits the Cody Cornell family and the American Diabetes Association will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 1720 HK Dodgen Loop in Temple. Barbecue chicken plates will be sold for $10 each.
