If the government's own assessments say that the further we move from the EU, the worse off we'll be, then 'voluntary basis' sounds like we might be signing up to a lot of stuff that the EU will now decide without us.

▪ Pursuing brexit, knowing the younger generation will take us back into the EU later, will lead to deeper EU integration as there are different rules for newcomers. (euro, asylum quotas...)
