Our vast network provides workplace learning and employment opportunities to students. These career-focused placements provide the opportunity to develop real experiences that translate into workplace achievements.
We offer practical placement opportunities with the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Vixens and more.
Our students in our exercise science courses also have access to internal and external placements through our Clinical Exercise & Rehabilitation (VUCER) placements program. During placement students get hands-on experience with real clients in the student-run exercise & rehabilitation clinic.
VU’s connections and partnerships have allowed me to undertake placements in sports that were suited to what I wanted to do; specifically, the Football Federation of Victoria and Melbourne Victory. This has led me to create contacts with professionals in the industry that I can learn from now and into the future.
Our human movement and sport science research received the highest rating of 5 (well above world standard) in the latest Excellence in Research for Australia assessment.
The Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living (ISEAL) provides the platform for VU's world-class research into topics such as sport and exercise science, active living and public health and sport in society.
