The Institute of Health & Sport incorporates and builds upon some of the research undertaken at VU prior to 2018 by:

The Centre of Policy Studies (CoPS) undertakes economic-modelling research for governments and businesses in many parts of the world.

CoPS are the creators of Australia's best known large-scale economic models, ORANI, MMRF and TERM. Versions of these models have been developed for over 25 countries, including the following:

• USAGE model of the United States
• INDOTERM model of Indonesia
• CHINAGEM and SINOTERM models of the Peoples Republic of China
• VNET model of Vietnam.

CoPS' economic-modelling software, GEMPACK, is licensed to users in around 70 countries.

Australian Health Policy Collaboration (AHPC)

The Australian Health Policy Collaboration(AHPC) promotes and supports a national policy agenda for the prevention of chronic diseases.

The AHPC contributes to the development of public policy and its practice, and to improving health and wellbeing for all Australians through evidenced based research.

The Mitchell Institute

The Mitchell Institute was established to make a positive contribution to the quality of health and education policy, and ultimately, the social and economic prosperity of Australia.

Western Centre for Health Research & Education (Western CHRE)

The Western Centre for Health Research & Education (Western CHRE) aims to create a dynamic, innovative and sustainable teaching, training and research precinct in western Melbourne.

Sir Zelman Cowen Centre

The Sir Zelman Cowen Centre was named in honour of Australia's former Governor-General and distinguished legal academic, the late Sir Zelman Cowen. The Centre provides legal education, training and research, as well as support services on law-related topics for industry, government and the community.

Feminist Research Network (FRN)

The Victoria University Feminist Research Network (FRN) is a collegial and multidisciplinary network that supports, fosters and promotes feminist research and feminist researchers.
