Our researchers develop and apply advanced methods for evidence-based analysis of the full ramifications of public policy alternatives. We use evidence-based analysis to achieve the best outcomes in the face of constantly changing economic, political, physical and social environments.

Research topics enhancing the evidence base for public policy development

This interdisciplinary field of research contributes to and collaborates with much of the research occurring in our other five research focus areas. Topics in this area may include:

  • courts and justice
  • economic modelling/economic impact of policy and government strategy
  • education systems modelling and reform
  • governance and regulation
  • public communication
  • legal education and legal frameworks.
  • using artificial intelligence, decision support systems and intelligent information systems to support decision-making.
