Nikola Mirotić

Nikola Mirotić (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Миротић; born February 11, 1991) is a Montenegrin-Spanish professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) tall power forward previously played for Real Madrid of the Liga ACB.

Professional career

Early career

Growing up in Europe, football was Mirotić's true passion. As he got older, his family realized his height could be a lot more useful for another sport. At the age of 13, his grandfather introduced him to the sport of basketball. Mirotić spent his childhood in Montenegro and started playing basketball with the Joker School in Podgorica. At the age of 14, he signed a junior contract with Real Madrid in the summer of 2005.

Real Madrid (2008–2014)

After playing for the Real Madrid juniors from 2006 to 2008, Mirotić signed with the Real Madrid senior team of the Liga ACB in 2008. During the 2010–11 Euroleague season, he emerged as one of his team's most valuable players to win the Euroleague Rising Star award. In April 2011, he signed a five-year contract extension with Real Madrid. With Real Madrid, he won the Spanish King's Cup and the Spanish Supercup in 2012.

Mirotic

Mirotic is the fourth Korean studio album (seventh overall) by South Korean pop group TVXQ, released on September 26, 2008 by S.M. Entertainment. This is the group's last Korean album to feature members Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun.

The album was a major commercial breakthrough and is TVXQ's most critically successful album to date. The best-selling album of 2008, Mirotic debuted atop the Hanteo charts and sold 110,000 albums in one week, setting the record for one-week sales in South Korea on that chart. Version A of the album sold over 208,000 copies in a month, and cumulative sales surpassed 500,000 copies 109 days after its release. Mirotic is the first Korean album in four years to break 500,000 sales, a number which was last achieved by Seo Taiji's 2004 album 7th Issue.Mirotic sold over 541,000 copies by 2014.

Background

The album had been in production since 2007, but the title was not decided upon until January 2008. TVXQ members Xiah Junsu and Max Changmin participated directly in the making of the album, penning the lyrics for "노을.. 바라보다 (Picture of You)" and "Love in the Ice", respectively. In addition, members Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun composed and wrote the lyrics to "사랑아 울지마 (Don't Cry My Lover)" and "사랑 안녕 사랑 (Love Bye Love)", respectively, for version C of the album.

Nikola

Nikola (Cyrillic: Никола, Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [nǐkola]) is a unisex given name, derived from Greek Nikolaos (Νικόλαος), common in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia. Besides the name "Nikola", in Macedonia there is a name "Nikolče" (Николче), which is a diminutive of the name "Nikola". In Poland, it is used as a female name, as is done with Nicola in the UK and Germany.
