I've been an Amazon customer since 1999 and have just had the most SHOCKING interaction with Reina, a "member of leadership in retail" regarding unauthorized charges Amazon made to my checking account associated with my gift card balance.

Mar 9, your rep on chat said "I checked your account transactions, and couldn't find any charges in the amount of $50 and $20," I got electronic withdrawal transaction IDs from my bank, spent two hours with charge specialists but your systems were down before they could resolve

I sent an email and got this response on March 11 - "I'm sorry to hear about the unknown charges under your account.I'd like to help you, but I checked your transactions and couldn't find any charges for $50.00 and $20.00."

Today, your "Membership Leader" says that the charges not only exist but are "in collection" and I should call your Telecheck department! Unbelievable.
