Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.
After changing their name from the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin signed a deal with Atlantic Records that afforded them considerable artistic freedom. Although the group was initially unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with albums such as Led Zeppelin (1969), Led Zeppelin II (1969), Led Zeppelin III (1970), Led Zeppelin IV (1971), Houses of the Holy (1973), and Physical Graffiti (1975). Their fourth album, which features the track "Stairway to Heaven", is among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to secure the group's popularity.
(Not the Empress Valley version, but oh well..) Led Zeppelin at the Seattle Kingdome July 17, 1977 One of the very few fully-filmed concerts. This song has been on my iPod since I got my first one many years ago. As I recall, I belonged to a record club when this came out and I got the LP at that time. Anyway, I have always loved the concept and the sound of this song. A little trivia. Many wonder what the voice-over guy says toward the end of the song. In researching this video I found the answer. He says "this is the sound of thousands of snapping shrimp"... hmmm wtf... anyway, this was revealed in an interview with the lead singer. - no clue. From Amazon.com: It is an announcer's voice from a sound effects record (circa 1950's). He says "This is the sound of thousands of snapping shrimp". We were looking for some cool nature sounds but the recordings were really poor so in the end we just used the announcer because he sound...
"Slowly We Rot is a film by Sam Davis. Staged as a documentary concert film (in the vein of Pink Floyd's Live At Pompeii [1972] or Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same [1976]), SWR tells a story about music, technology, and entropy, with particular attention paid to media stored on disc. Following the concert film format, performance vignettes divide and are divided by narrative and documentary content. Assembled entirely of footage downloaded from YouTube, using the website clipconverter.cc, the film is narrated by Todd Rundgren, whose dialogue comes from a media-and-technology-heavy backstage interview from 1978. Artists performing or appearing in the film include Ornette Coleman, The Doors, Gentle Giant, Vanilla Fudge, Pharaoh Sanders, Stevie Wonder, and more." Slowly We Rot pr...

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (Live) (HD) LYRICS: There's a lady who's sure All that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven. When she gets there she knows If the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for. Ooh ooh and she's buying a stairway to heaven. There's a sign on the wall But she wants to be sure 'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings. In a tree by the brook There's a songbird who sings, Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven. Ooh, it makes me wonder, Ooh, it makes me wonder. There's a feeling I get When I look to the west, And my spirit is crying for leaving. In my thoughts I have seen Rings of smoke through the trees, And the voices of those who standing looking. Ooh, it makes me wonder, Ooh, it really makes me wonder. And ...

And ...
lyrics: Hey fellas, have you heard the news? You know that Annie's back in town? It won't take long just watch and see how the fellas lay their money down. Her style is new but the face is the same as it was so long ago, But from her eyes, a different smile like that of one who knows. Well, it's been ten years and maybe more since I first set eyes on you. The best years of my life gone by, here I am alone and blue. Some people cry and some people die by the wicked ways of love; But I'll just keep on rollin' along with the grace of the Lord above. People talkin' all around 'bout the way you left me flat, I don't care what the people say, I know where their jive is at. One thing I do have on my mind, if you can clarify please do, It's the way you call me by another...

I own nothing in this video, all the credits goes to Led Zeppelin. lyrics: Close the door, put out the light. You know they won't be home tonight. The snow falls hard and don't you know? The winds of Thor are blowing cold. They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through. They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. Walking side by side with death, The devil mocks their every step The snow drives back the foot that's slow, The dogs of doom are howling more They carry news that must get through, To build a dream for me and you They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. They ask no quarter. The pain, the pain without quarter. They ask no quarter. The dogs of doom are howling more!

Led Zeppelin at the Knebworth Festival, on August 11th, 1979. I felt it was necessary to include the date in the title because this is the Knebworth concert that wasn't remastered on the Led Zeppelin DVD. The video footage is from the Return of the Dinosaurs bootleg. C'mon and please me
You know I need your tender touch
Love me like a hurricane
And then you start to ( ? )
You tell me that you'll come on over
Then you say you won't
Love me like a hurricane
And then you start to ( ? )
I'll give it to you straight right now
Please
Oh please don't tease me
You know it hurts so much
C'mon and squeeze me
You know I need your tender touch
Tell me that you love me babe
Then you say you don't
You tell me that you'll come on over
Then you say you won't
