How to use Twitter for BlackBerry OS

Important: We recently issued an important update to the Twitter for BlackBerry app. We recommend upgrading to the latest version of BlackBerry’s operating system to ensure a successful installation. If you're experiencing any problems with your Twitter app, please upgrade to the newest version. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Twitter Support can troubleshoot any log in issues or Twitter account problems on twitter.com and with our official apps, but we are unable to troubleshoot for the BlackBerry application itself.

Note: Twitter is not responsible for any issues related to the BlackBerry app specifically and we can only provide support for issues with your Twitter account or log in information. If you are having problems using Twitter in the standard view on your BlackBerry device we cannot troubleshoot for this. In these cases, we suggest you use mobile.twitter.com.

How to sign up for an account on Blackberry

  1. Tap the Sign up link at the bottom of the welcome screen and fill out the fields asking for your name, email address, desired username, and password.
  2. If your desired username is already taken, sign up will fail and you will see a red cross next to the field prompting you to choose a new username.
  3. When you have completed the form, tap Sign up.  A message will pop up telling you your account has been successfully created.

Note: Once your account is created, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address. You must confirm your email address in order for it to be fully associated with your Twitter account so that you can receive important notifications from us regarding your account.
