Kylee

Kylee Saunders (born May 25, 1994), better known mononymously as Kylee, is a Japanese American singer. She is signed onto Sony Music Japan's DefStar Records label.

Early life and career

Kylee was born in Chandler, Arizona to a British-American father and Japanese mother, She was influenced by her father who inspired her to become a singer. She has a younger sister and a younger brother. When she was eleven years old, she passed an audition to perform the national anthem at the opening segment of an NBA game, earning a standing ovation. earning her the interest of music producers and she was signed onto the independent label RX-Records. Kylee attended Stoller Middle School in Portland, Oregon until 2007 when she returned to Arizona. Kylee attended Hamilton High School, and is expected to graduate from Stanford University in 2016. Kylee is a devout follower of the Mormon Church.

Samuel "Sam" Tsui (born May 2, 1989) is an American singer/songwriter & video producer. He rose to fame as an internet celebrity and is known for covering songs by popular artists like Adele, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars, as well as some original songs, medleys, and mashups, along with his frequent collaborations with fellow YouTuber Kurt Hugo Schneider. As of February 13, 2015, Tsui had reached 2.4 million subscribers.

Life and career

1989-2008: Early life

Sam Lee Tsui was born on May 2, 1989. His father has roots in Hong Kong and his mother is of European extraction and hails from Iowa. He can speak some Cantonese. Tsui has a brother, Kent Kevin. Tsui grew up in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, a street away from Kurt Schneider, his producer and accompanist, with whom he attended Wissahickon High School. He was active in high school musicals, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Urinetown, Titanic, and Miss Saigon. Tsui attended Yale University, where he was a member of Davenport College and The Duke's Men of Yale, an all-male a cappella group. He also majored in classical Greek at Yale University.

Nate Ruess

Nathaniel Joseph "Nate" Ruess (born February 26, 1982) is an American singer and songwriter. He is the lead vocalist of indie pop band Fun and previously of the Format. As of 2015, he also performs as a solo musician.

Early life

Ruess was born on February 26, 1982, in Iowa City, Iowa to Larry Ruess and Bess Zinger. He is the younger of two children, having one sister named Elizabeth. His uncle, John Ruess, was a performer on Broadway and served as an influence for Ruess' musical ventures.

In 1986, his family moved to a farm in Glendale, Arizona, due to repeated bouts of pneumonia Ruess faced as a child. Ruess remained in Arizona throughout his childhood and attended Deer Valley High School, graduating in 2000. During his time in school, Ruess played in punk bands and upon graduation chose to pursue music professionally. In an interview with American Songwriter Ruess states, "I'm not one to take lessons, so I decided that the only way I was going to learn how to sing, if what they were saying was true, was to go in my car and put on any sort of music from a vocalist that might be really hard to mimic, turn it on as loud as possible and try to hit all those notes". He took a job in a law firm as a way to support himself while he pursued his musical ambitions.
