    D.C. police have an arrest warrant in one of the largest illegal tire dumps in memory. “We obviously misjudged the size of the dumpster we would need." and teamed up to remove 1,000 tires.

    Police chief says they’re still investigating where tires came from, but one possibility is businesses hired an unlicensed hauler to dispose of tires. “Someone was cutting corners,” says Chief Newsham.

    My guess is it’s well over 1000 tires. The suspect was using a stolen uhaul truck to haul the tires here.
